Four police officers were charged with federal crimes related to the death of Breonna Taylor.
US Attorney General Merrick Garland on Thursday announced the Justice Department is charging four current and former Louisville police officers in connection with the raid that killed Breonna Taylor.
The FBI arrested four police officers on Thursday – including a detective who was already cleared by a jury!
Taylor was killed during a knock and announce drug raid on March 13, 2020 during which her boyfriend shot at police and they returned fire. LMPD Sgt. Jon Mattingly was shot during the exchange and has now recovered.
In September 2020, Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron announced there would be no charges filed against two of the Louisville police officers involved in the shooting of Breonna Taylor, while the third was charged with “wanton endangerment.”
Detective Brett Hankison was indicted on three counts of “wanton endangerment in the first degree” by a grand jury.
Wanton endangerment is a Class D felony, punishable by one to five years in prison.
A jury in March of this year found Hankison not guilty on all three counts of felony wanton endangerment.
Now Merrick Garland is going after Brett Hankison and three other Louisville police officers.

Political pawns in the marxist chess match against freedom and justice.
Let’s see how this plays out in court.
I say that because the original search warrant was based on hearsay about ‘suspicious parcels’ being delivered to Taylor’s apartment. A detail that was never verified by the officer seeking the warrant yet it seems that he claimed to have verified this detail when he asked the court for the warrant.
The search warrant was supposed to have required a knock on the door yet it was executed as a no-knock warrant with no evidence that the cops announced themselves before battering down the door.
Taylor was not armed and the cops shot her six times.
After all the door busting and shooting and killing the reason for all of this drama the cops never bothered to search the apartment! Which really causes rational minds to wonder why they were there in the first place if they weren’t interested in searching the apartment?
Also, in typical fashion, the cops wet themselves when someone affirmatively objected to having their door busted in and they responded by firing off thirty-two rounds. Six of those rounds fatally wounded the wrong person and none of them actually hit Kenneth Walker - the guy who had shot one of the cops in the leg.
Twenty-four rounds went flying into neighboring apartments and quite justifiably one of the cops was fired and prosecuted for the wanton endangerment of Taylor’s innocent neighbors.
Translation: I detest Merrick Garland but in this case there’s ample evidence to proceed with Federal charges against these four idiots who carried out an attack for reasons that have yet to be fully explained.
Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
The FBI watches the police, reacts polictically.
Who watches the watchmen who watch the watchmen?
Recognizing reality is critical for todays cops. Some random night a year ago they should have, bought Bitcoin, left the country quietly as a tourist and be somewhere having a beer with Snowden, or somewhere so far south people are speaking German.
Now because of that murderous dope dealer woman these guys have their lives ruined. Should have hit the road long ago.
Interesting. I really never knew the facts presented in the original trial.
Actually it is. The FBI is a minor subordinate bureau within the department of justice. The attorney general is the head of the DOJ. FBI likes to pretend they are somehow independent, but they are a direct report to the attorney general.
“I’d cheer if every active police officer walked off their job.”
I wouldn’t.
Yes there is a body cam. Yes there was an entire crew outside that loudly announced several times police. Then they did so again as they entered.
Where did you hear that it was a no knock warrant? BLM tell you that moron? It’s right there on the officers body cams. They knock loudly several times and the guy had plenty of time to answer. By the way, a rental car Brianna was responsible forgot found with a dead body in the trunk. The cops were solidly in the right here.
It makes sense you would line up with Breonna Taylor.
Yes, it sucks but at this point, a complete breakdown of society may be in order.
However it may be a trap. If the police all walk off (as they should) then the fed govt steps in and another brick in the govt takeover gets put in place.
Cloward-Piven in action.
Started in the 70s, when they started “weeding out the neanderthals in the police department”.
As Inspector Callahan said, ‘Helluva price to pay for being stylish’.
Ah, Black Angus...
Not to be confused with Black Angus, Scot of Harlem...
“If the police all walk off (as they should) then the fed govt steps in and another brick in the govt takeover gets put in place.”
That is the end game for your local police to become federalized. They want to take control away from local elected Sheriff.
The FBI under Garland is worse than any other institution in American history.
Or Russia Germany China Japan
I’d cheer if every active police officer walked off their job.

I thought the exact same thing before I even read your post. In this day and age I doubt you’d get widespread solidarity, and in a lot of places I would be surprised if activist DAs tried to charge police for dereliction or something like that, but I’d cheer too.
….......
I’m thinking this is exactly what the left wants to happen.
Obama can the implement his brownshirts
Perfect analysis. Nail hit squarely on head.
Here’s an article from well after the shooting. Enjoy.
Garland has an axe to grind over his supreme court snub. These charges are outrageous.
“And yet, the murder of Ashli Babbitt gets swept under the rug”. Of course, she was White and her killer is Black
Yep, he's a wounded animal, like Hillary.
