Food inflation desperation leads to VIOLENT ATTACKS in grocery stores
Starvation News ^ | 6/30/22 | Michael Adams

As food inflation worsens, a sense of desperation is seizing the minds of the American people, and some of them are lashing out in acts of violence against workers at grocery stores and other food retail locations. America is now seeing a shocking rise in retail location violence that seems destined to only get worse.

Joe Biden’s catastrophic economic and energy policies have led to a 400% increase in the price of fertilizer, a 100% increase in the price of diesel fuel, supply chain disruptions and food production shortfalls. Even infant formula has been in a supply chain crisis, and the cost of agricultural inputs today means far higher prices in the coming months.

The result is record high food inflation that keeps getting worse. Higher costs of food gobble up higher percentages of discretionary incomes for consumers, hitting low-income consumers especially hard. When food prices rise to the point of requiring 50% of a person’s income just to eat, history tells us that societies break down and lurch into uprisings and revolts.

How can you people believe this crap? A food exporting nation will run out of food? Seriously? What is wrong with your brains? We may run short on food exports which means some people in other countries will go hungry but we won’t run out here.

I’ve never seen a shortage of anything but toilet paper and that was driven by hysteria not by an actual shortage.

I’ve been buying a little extra each time I shop.

The best option going.

We all saw what happened with the Covid lockdowns in March of 2020.

People are still spending money.

I think many are continuing to spend as if 'the fix' is right around the corner. Too many want to just live for the moment, and pretend that it will all just 'get better' if they can just make it another day or two.

I have a sister-in-law and her husband that are acting like that. But they have always been liberal and I don't expect them to change anytime soon. There's been a few times that when talk of SHTF should happen that they would just head over my way. I politely reminded them that I CAN hit a target at 1,000 yards; and I don't expect that target identification is going to be my priority...just potential threat elimination. It usually gets pretty quiet at that point.

Ever hear of sparrow stew. My grandma made it for her 9 kids. Dad was born in 1921. They caught them in traps they set up near the grain mill..

The jump in prices for what is typically considered “poor persons’ food” — potatoes and cabbage — is simply amazing.

I get store brand margarine. It used to cost $1 for four sticks. It’s now $1.59. Campbell’s soup where I shop is now $2.00 a can. Last year it was $1.59. The pasta shelf is almost bare. All that is left is high-priced gluten-free stuff. A scrawny beef roast (select grade) weighing 1 1/2 pounds is $14.00. Shelf after shelf empty or almost empty.

Why are people just accepting this? There should be a march on Washington demanding that we start drilling for oil and natural gas so truckers can afford to drive groceries to the market again. My state is the Saudi Arabia of natural gas. We have oil, too. What happens this winter when people can’t afford to eat or heat their homes? We have natural gas that can be exploited to drive down energy prices but it can’t be used because it’s a fossil fuel? What is this madness?

This is unacceptable. And I don’t hear any Republicans in Congress saying what they’d do about this. They’re toothless wonders. It’s like we have to accept shortages and high prices as the new normal. This country is beginning to resemble Soviet Russia where people lined up for a loaf of bread or a pair of shoes only to discover when they finally got to the head of the line there was nothing left.

I absolutely hate what this country is becoming under the Marxist thugs now running things. And the “opposition” party is a joke. It doesn’t exist. How McConnell and McCarthy can take their paychecks is beyond me.

Look at what’s happened to Keebler cookies. You open a package and discover they’ve reduced the cookie size by at least a third. And the price of the package has increased by at least a dollar. Do they think people are fools?

Just a comment on why people are just accepting this - I can tell you from a recent conversation- so many people are so clueless, it is scary.

I have been talking to one person daily, dropping red pills about why we are in the shape we are in. She is likely a democrat, watches BS media outlets, bought into so many lies. When I linked the cost of food to the cost of gas and transportation, and the cost of gas to closing pipelines, it was like a lightbulb went off over her head. She was furious to learn Biden had done this and that he is getting trying to get oil from the Arabs, and more. She was livid that he is sending 800 million a month to Ukraine. She had no idea about the many food plants closing, and that China and Gates are the two biggest farmland owners in the US… and the vax, which she really is feeling duped about… anyway

She has started asking me questions daily, about things and wanting my opinion. She says I am saying the same things as her sister who is no doubt conservative. At one point she said she will never vote Democrat again. They are destroying the country.

That is just one person. How many are out there who don’t have someone telling them the truth?. It is scary.

Well if you like them that much, you’ll be surprised how many people will buy them.

It might be time to buy your own flour, shortening, butter, and sugar to make your own.

Not that 1, Squirrels, rabbits, as they had chickens, Maybe a few ducks, wild turkey, or geese.

I loaded up on what my gut can digest. Hot Dogs, Bologna, and hamburger, I canned carrots, potatoes, chunky apple sauce, and strawberry jam, Hub may get tired of it. He eats anything, I’m diet limited because of a med-ruined Gastro tract. He will have to learn to eat oatmeal, and grits if I can find any with more than 6 months’ date. Kiddie cereal won’t last 3 months. Bought extra heritage seeds for next year, they were hard to come by, our feed store is closed up for sale, same as the gun range.

He buries his head in the sand. FJB is going to destroy all oil/coal. Force electric BS on you. And the Prevert agenda.

From AM to PM, the fickle force of government is with you

Federal regulations run through American life, touching on everything we consume, the air we breathe, the water we drink.

I think California is going to be our Canary in the coal mine for this whole thing. It certainly has been for gas.
Tbis Autumn, will watch California deal with the serious potential of water/utilities sbortages, rationing, blackouts. Only an 'atmospheric river can negate thsee future events. Lake Mead's last operating water intake (at the 950 ft level) is fast approaching deadpool this suummer.

Eventually they got to the point where the lake was trying to meet too many people’s needs. And they didn’t plan for it.

The problem with electing politicians is all you get is politicians. And all politicians know how to do is get elected, not actually do the job they were elected to do.

That’s why we liked Trump. He did something modern politicians can’t seem to do - make decisions.

I’ve been buying a little extra each time I shop. Panic buying will be in our future, in my opinion.

Same here. It’s like saving for the future, only instead of putting away a little money from each paycheck, it’s food from each shopping trip. That coupled with eggs from our chickens and food from the garden and what my wife cans from it should be a game changer for us. And the 250 galfuel tank that our now deceased son gave us for a “garage warming present”...
