That same political operative, who witnessed Fang fundraising on Swalwell’s behalf, found no evidence of illegal contributions.
Federal Election Commission records don’t indicate Fang herself made donations, which are prohibited from foreign nationals.
No, she should tend the congressional toilets.

That’s just such a perfect way to express it. McCarthy and so many others are “invested in the corruption”. That’s what makes them employable and why people ask for their opinion. They will always support the corruption in D.C. and work to maintain it, even when pretending otherwise. They always get a good return on their “investment”. A “stipend” for a FOX news appearance. An “expense reimbursement” for a five minute speech at a conference, no expense audit required.
At the same time they exclaim about their “conservative” principles, they condemn any politician that attempts to implement those principles as policy. We had a President in Donald Trump that worked to address every issue that the corporate conservatives had promise to address for years. And, they thwarted him at every turn. Why do people still trust them?
Kevin should go back to his comfort zone: making speeches at Sunday morning, post-communion, Knights of Columbus breakfasts.

McCarthy changes his position more often than a wind vane. Whatever way the political winds are blowing, that’s where he stands. Sorry chum, I see NO reason to trust you as far as I could throw you.
A bounce into Notepad for a minute or three of editing certainly wouldn’t have hurt.
We’ve got too many who copy an entire page, photo captions, ad text, sidebars, and all; bomb the post form with it, and do zero cleanup.

However, without an alternative to McCarthy that has the votes to defeat him.
Our choices for the next Speaker of the House are Nancy Pelosi or Kevin McCarthy.
I choose McCarthy because I’ve already seen enough bullshit from Pelosi.

JANUARY 6 HEARING: McCARTHY POINTS TO RASKIN, SCHIFF TIES TO IMPEACHMENTS AS EVIDENCE OF ‘OBSESSION’: Jamie Raskin and Adam Schiff are prior Trump impeachment managers
“House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy told “Jesse Watters Primetime” on Wednesday it is clear that the members of the January 6 Committee are simply continuing a years-long vendetta against former President Donald Trump, saying the panel’s behavior would not fit a court of law.
McCarthy pointed to one outspoken Democrat on the panel, Maryland Rep. Jamie Raskin — recounting how the Silver Spring lawmaker called for Trump’s impeachment before he was even inaugurated.
As Salon described it at the time: “Donald Trump won’t be sworn into office for another 48 hours, and at least one Democratic congressman has already seen enough.” McCarthy suggested two impeachment proceedings were not enough for Raskin or Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif. — both of whom served as lead impeachment managers.
“Remember what [Raskin] did between Trump being elected and being sworn in? He held a rally to say Trump needs to be impeached,” McCarthy said of a health care rally at Bowie State University.
“This is just the continuation. They’re obsessed with Trump and this is all they want to do. This hearsay would never be allowed in a court of law.”
In January 2017, Raskin declared Trump was “on a collision course with the Emoluments Clause,” which prohibits certain gifts to politicians from abroad.
“If he goes into office and he refuses to divest himself, the moment that the first conflict comes up that’s going to look like an impeachable offense,” Raskin said during an interview at Bowie.
Later that year, he supported an ultimately unsuccessful impeachment motion from Rep. Al Green, D-Texas, who accused the then-president of “high misdemeanors.”
McCarthy further called out Schiff for what he called obvious bias, pointing to reported alterations of a text message during the first impeachment investigation and his dismissal of the Hunter Biden laptop scandal as Russian propaganda.
“[R]emember when he said he had proof about the Russia collusion and he put America through [that probe]?” McCarthy asked.
He faulted Schiff for his purported connection to the arrests of several “Late Show with Stephen Colbert” employees roaming the House complexes on Capitol Hill earlier in June.
“I’ll promise you this: When I’m speaker, he will not be on the Intel Committee anymore,” McCarthy said, adding he would also remove fellow Californian Eric Swalwell — pointing to allegations the lawmaker had “relations with Chinese spy” Fang Fang.
They deserve worse, certainly.

Hell’s Bell’s YES he should be Speaker. Get rid of dumb and dumber and viola! President Trump again......sooner rather than later. I hope to see an upheaval in the House next January about who’s going to be Speaker. I don’t trust McCarthy.....not yesterday, today or in the future.
