Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas’ Life In Imminent Danger
Republic Brief ^ | 06/27/2022 | Liza Carlisle

Posted on 06/27/2022 6:06:40 PM PDT by SeekAndFind

During the recent SCOTUS decision concerning Roe v Wade, Justice Clarence Thomas wrote a solo concurring opinion in which he argued that the Supreme Court should also reconsider rulings on contraception, same-sex relationships, and marriage.

On Friday, Thomas wrote the court “correctly holds that there is no constitutional right to abortion. Respondents invoke one source for that right: the Fourteenth Amendment’s guarantee that no State shall ‘deprive any person of life, liberty, or property without due process of law.”

He issued a separate opinion, he explained, “to emphasize a second, more fundamental reason why there is no abortion guarantee lurking in the Due Process Clause. … Considerable historical evidence indicates that ‘due process of law’ merely required executive and judicial actors to comply with legislative enactments and the common law when depriving a person of life, liberty, or property.”

He also argued that “‘substantive due process’ is an oxymoron that ‘lacks[s] any basis in the Constitution.’” For this and other reasons, he argued, the court should “reconsider all of this Court’s substantive due process precedents, including Griswold, Lawrence, and Obergefell.

Because “any substantiative due process decision is ‘demonstrably erroneous,” he argued, Just The News reported.

Since then, individuals on social media have called for Thomas to be assassinated and more.

This comes after one California man who attempted to kill Justice Brett Kavanaugh was arrested and charged.

It also comes after other groups have called for violence to be committed against pro-life groups, individuals, and churches. In response, the FBI announced it was investigating such threats and Congress passed a bill that President Joe Biden signed into law extending protections to members of the justices families.

Individuals have been not only calling on social media for the assassination Justice Clarence Thomas but also pro-abortion activists have published his home address.

Others have called to burn down the Supreme Court.

Several of the threats posted on Twitter have been taken down; some have not. The Center Square obtained screenshots of the ones listed below; there are others, Just The News wrote.

One person tweeted, “I’m going to assassinate supreme court justice Clarence Thomas.”

Another tweeted, “Today is a great day to assassinate Clarence Thomas.”

Still, another wrote, “Someone assassinate Clarence Thomas already ffs.”

Glasgow writer, Neil Mackay, with a blue check mark, tweeted, “If I was a woman in America I’d burn the Supreme Court to the ground.”

Andrew Tarantola, a senior reporter for Endgadget, also called for violence, writing, “Burn down the Supreme Court.”

It is beyond comprehension that people living in the country with the most freedom in the world would answer a court decision with such comments of violence and murder, instead of working for change within the legal and electoral systems in place as designed by our constitution and would instead resort to tactics used by dictators in nations void of freedom.

Some of these people who call for such insurrection are the same people who have been labeling peaceful protesters of a year ago insurrectionists.

Thankfully, laws are in place to address such action by the lawless who may try to harm justices who work to interpret our constitution and apply it to our laws.

Chairman of Maricopa County Young Republicans Luke Mosiman posted a video of abortion activists handing out the personal address of Justice Thomas in Washington, D.C., with the intent to threaten him. In response, Mosiman said, “I hope you all get arrested tonight.”

Those making threats of violence against anyone, including a sitting Supreme Court justice, using a range of media, can face felony charges, Just The News notes.

“Individuals who communicate a threat to injure another can face federal felony charges if they use a form of interstate commerce, such as email, mail, phone calls, texts, or online messaging, to send the threat,” Criminal Defense Lawyer explains. “This federal offense carries up to 5 years in federal prison. (18 U.S.C. § 875.) Sending such threats repeatedly can lead to federal criminal stalking charges and up to 10 years in prison. (18 U.S.C. §§ 2261, 2261A.) Depending on the circumstances of the threats or the intended recipient, other federal penalties may apply.”

Threatening judges is illegal, law scholar James Hirsen explains, “interference with the administration of justice in the manner in which it has recently been occurring is illegal,” pointing to federal statute 18 U.S.C. 1507. The penalty for violating the law results in a fine and/or a prison sentence of up to one year.

Last month, 25 state attorneys general called on U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland to enforce federal law prohibiting anyone from targeting judges’ homes, wrote Just The news.

We must protect our Supreme Court justices from attacks so that they will be free to interpret our constitution correctly, not at the whim of the masses but in accordance with the founding fathers’ design, and without fear for their own or their families’ lives.

The Supreme Court does not have the right to legislate, and that is what they have been doing. The previous Supremes were lousy at reshaping society.

Funny that of the judges who are worthy of any kind of respect the one who's in real danger should be the longest serving of the nine...and black.

If it weren't for double standards America's Maoists wouldn't have any standards at all.

Death threats on Justice Thomas. FBI nowhere to be found.

Cities burned and citizens beat down by BLM thugs. FBI nowhere to be found.

Chinese spies infiltrate the Biden family and White House. No FBI anywhere.

He was threatened on Twitter and the account stayed; Trump was banned. Isn’t it a crime to threaten a judge?

IIRC, Breyer agreed with Thomas in his dissent; that for consistency all those cases would have to bd reconsidered.

I heard someone criticize Wray and the FBI for not protecting the Supreme Court justices. That is a legitimate criticism, but what on earth is going on with the local sheriff in those counties that refuses to disperse the mobs. He has the jurisdiction of his county, and the backing of Federal law.

FBI is very busy planning next early morning raid on another Trump associate. They will show in a big squadron of agents, with helmets and bullet proof vests, and combat grade weapons, to arrest some old dude in pajama’s.

I was just thinking how we all need to do whatever necessary to protect a great American patriot. Please pray that Justice Thomas and Ginni are protected from the evil on the left. Pray for his good health. Our country depends on him more than anyone right now.

To a leftist there is nothing worse than an intelligent, conservative black man.

Clarence Thomas is the GOAT of the Supreme Court. The way he makes leftists fume and rage is unprecedented.

May God protect and guide him.

So, after the high tech lynching failed, the lefties want to go the more traditional route against uppity blacks.

It seems he is an RVer..
:)

Clarence driving the highways of the US in an RV seems like a perfect way to get away from work. Especially work where people know where you live now..

Isn’t it a crime to threaten a judge?

Not Black judges who interpret law according to the Constitution.
