Hundreds injured, multiple dead after bull-fighting stadium collapses in Colombia
(Excerpt) Read more at citizenfreepress.com ...
Still not as bad as the wooden Gladiator amphitheater at Fidenae, ROME, which collapsed in 27 A.D. Between 20,000 and 50,000 people died in that one.
Then there was the 140 AD Circus Maximus disaster in ROME in which the top tier of the Circus collapsed killing 13000 people.
Those in Colombia were lucky the death rate was so small.
“You seem obsessed with me.”
Don’t flatter yourself.
In bullfighting, I always root for the bull.
This is NOT a spot.
Apparently it iOS done in parts of Spain, not Italy. Truly disgusting.
prayers for the people hurt and families affected...
It’s done in parts of Spain. Absolutely disgusting.
In the old days the bulls were the main attraction at the after party BBQ.
“this is what poor people can afford for entertainment”
Amongst thousands other pastimes and interests that don’t include animal cruelty, right?
I hope no bulls were injured.
Sadly, the bull in the video appears to have been injured prior to the collapse of the seats.
Pixie sticks maybe?
I’m certain they have strict building codes Columbia/s/
He seems energized after the collapse. Lots of people running around...he may have gored one of them.
Construction looks pretty sketchy.
One thing people don’t realize is the forces that are exerted on a structure when people begin to stomp the floor in unison. Don’t know if that happened here, but if you are ever in a venue that people start doing that, just stop and be amazed at the deflection of the floor. And hope the engineering is good...
In the old days in Mexico City the bullfight seating went from shade (sombra) to all sun (sol). There were often crazy riots when the muchadumbre, bored with a lackluster performance and sweating it out in the sol section, would urinate in cups and throw them at people seated below. Someone would take umbrage, fists would fly and before you could count to ten some hundred people were dukeing it out. Ah, those were the days!
That's the reason troops "break step" when marching across a bridge.
Those must have been the cheap seats.
I wonder what the bull was thinking.
I always root for the bull. The poor dumb beast did not ask to be there. It has been stuck with sharp spearpoints, made to run endlessly in the heat and frightened. If that’s your idea of “entertainment”, then you’re a sick _______.
Get back to me after you've attended one of these events.

Well, if you’re here to deny a link to Putin before anyone says any such thing then I can only conclude there must be such a link. Thanks for the tip.

I think they’re saying it has to do with the recent election.
