Trump is wrong on many things. I grow tired of the “agreeing with Trump” argument.
***And I grow tired of the “everyone who disagrees with me is a globohomosoros WEFer. “

Trump pushed the death jabs and we all know how good those went as he fell for the deep state trap.
***Death jabs. Red herring. Trump is right on the Ukraine. The topic at hand is... the Ukraine.

It is an accession to a ratified UN treaty. You’re the one grasping at straws here.

Plus, it’s the right thing to do: Get Nuclear Nonproliferation right, or the world is well and truly Fracked.

Our Constitution expressly limits the president’s power to enter treaties without consent of the Senate, so our “state” by definition did not in this case accept “the offer or the opportunity to become a party to a treaty already negotiated and signed by other states”.

We ratified the UN Nuclear NonProliferation Treaty. The Budapest thing was an accession to that ratified treaty, following accession protocols that the senate ratified.

“It refers to assurances, but it does not impose a legal obligation of military assistance on its parties.[1][27] According to Stephen MacFarlane, a professor of international relations, “It gives signatories justification if they take action, but it does not force anyone to act in Ukraine.”[26] In the US, neither the George H. W. Bush administration nor the Clinton administration was prepared to give a military commitment to Ukraine, and they did not believe the US Senate would ratify an international treaty and so the memorandum was adopted in more limited terms.[27] The memorandum has a requirement of consultation among the parties “in the event a situation arises that raises a question concerning the ... commitments” set out in the memorandum.[28] Whether or not the memorandum sets out legal obligations, the difficulties that Ukraine has encountered since early 2014 may cast doubt on the credibility of future security assurances that are offered in exchange for nonproliferation commitments.[29] Regardless, the United States publicly maintains that “the Memorandum is not legally binding”, calling it a “political commitment”.[30]”

The Budapest Memorandum never guaranteed intervention by the US. Ukraine wanted that but never got it.

The UN NNP Treaty is as useless as the UN and the paper it’s written on. Think about it.. those that signed it said you agree not to have nukes and agree with the 5 countries that signed it that have nukes. Then you have countries that didn’t sign it and have nukes so what good is it?

The US is going to hell in a hand basket because of all these woke ass liberal POS that have invaded every aspect of government and learning institutions. We’re a joke on the world stage under Biden and after Afghanistan, no one trust us and we’re being invaded through the southern border.

We’re a Stupid Power not Super Power under Biden. We need to clean up our own mess, stop the stench of liberalism, secure our borders and rebuild America. Completely drain the swamp of liberalism from all federal institutions andeliminate most of those institutions. That’s what our priority should be

Don’t be bullied by any Lurker’s bullying, AC. Think for yourself. And try not to apply a priori thinking to this issue. Hint: You already think we shouldn’t get involved so you conclude we shouldn’t get involved. But did you think we should get involved when we denuked the Ukes? Of course we shoulda got involved, it was the right thing to do at the time and it’s the right thing to do now, honor that agreement in the face of obvious tyrant bullying and invasion to take another country’s natural resources, and just plain kill lots of civilians.

The Budapest Memorandum never guaranteed intervention
***Why do weak-kneed obambam worshipping pantywaist appeasers need a guarantee? Because they are weak kneed, etc. The agreement assures sovereignty. Invading a country is an obvious violation of such an agreement. There’s a gigantic duhh factor to all of this.

After we went back on our NATO expansion insurances and populated Ukraine with bioweapons labs all along Russia’s border, Russia was more patient and deliberate in its actions than we would have been.

by the US. Ukraine wanted that but never got it.
***Then give them back their nukes. That would assure their sovereignty.

The UN NNP Treaty is as useless as the UN and the paper it’s written on.
***Then we will never get nuclear nonproliferation correct, even when a country gives up its nukes in such hope. And your crass dismissal and betrayal of such a country shows ... well I think it shows your side to be sociopathological.

Think about it.. those that signed it said you agree not to have nukes and agree with the 5 countries that signed it that have nukes.
***Think about it... Russia signed it and invaded. Russia violated that agreement. Kind of a big duhh factor here.

Then you have countries that didn’t sign it and have nukes so what good is it?
***Have there been signatories to the UN NPT that have developed nukes? I haven’t heard of any. Iran seems like they’re just the troublemakers to do such a thing.

The US is going to hell in a hand basket because of all these woke ass liberal POS that have invaded every aspect of government and learning institutions.
***Well, yeah. At the moment they get almost nothing right. But they got this part right, that it’s the right thing to do to uphold the sovereignty of a nation we said we would uphold the sovereignty of, especially when it came to nuclear nonproliferation and especially since that country HONORED the agreement. This is one thing those POS’s are getting right.

We’re a joke on the world stage under Biden
***I know. Vlad invaded when it was a weak-kneed obambam, now he has invaded when it is a weak-kneed Biden.

and after Afghanistan, no one trust us
***And you wanna betray a nation that did trust us, that did honor the nonproliferation agreement & was invaded as a result, you wanna betray that country so that no other country would ever trust us over anything, especially big ticket items like nuke nonproliferation and fighting off tyrant invading bullies after their oil.

and we’re being invaded through the southern border.
***Standard red herring. Classic fallacy.

We’re a Stupid Power not Super Power under Biden.
***Then when the stupid guy finds that blind-squirrel-acorn we should let him be smart on this one thing.

We need to clean up our own mess, stop the stench of liberalism, secure our borders and rebuild America.
***Yes we do. We also need to get nuclear nonproliferation right, we also need to help Europe stand up to this regional tyrant who invaded over oil just like the last regional tyrant who invaded over oil was kicked back to his own country with an international coalition.

Completely drain the swamp of liberalism from all federal institutions andeliminate most of those institutions. That’s what our priority should be
***Dude, you honestly think the libtards would clean up their own libtard mess? I don’t. I am certain that the isolationist pantywaist appeasers are simply using this as a red herring. If I had any confidence whatsoever that betraying the Ukes would lead to us doing all the right things domestically then I might be persuaded to do such a wrong thing, but I would still be wrong.

How do you classify Putin sending in operatives to stir up trouble in those regions where oil was discovered?

After we went back on our NATO expansion insurances
***You got some kind of written, signed “insurances”? No you don’t. They don’t exist. Some mumbling bureaucrat at some point said sumthin sumthin. It’s all nullified by the senate-ratified UN NNPT. Signed. By Presidents. Not mumbled by bureaucrats.

and populated Ukraine with bioweapons labs
***Bullshiite. Vlad didn’t even bother to use that supposed tidbit when he was trying to justify his invasion. You’re just buying into the propaganda that Pootypoot sent out.

all along Russia’s border, Russia was more patient and deliberate in its actions than we would have been.
***Russia signed an assurance agreement towards sovereignty and borders for Ukraine and Russia violated it by invading. Gigantic duhh factor. Yuge. So yuge that Trump agrees with sending in lots more aid. Yuge.

“It refers to assurances,
***Then let us assure the sovereignty and borders of Ukraine, as the agreement upholds. Trump says this is the right thing to do. Vlad invaded. It’s an OBVIOUS violation of that agreement. So we can just invade right back, “respecting” the borders set in 1994. If it’s sauce for the not-invading PutinGoose, it’s sauce for the not-invading USGander. It’s the right thing to do, it upholds nuclear nonproliferation and fights against a tyrant who invaded over oil & gas rights just like Saddam did.

Your approach here is baffling.

To support your claim that the U.S. should intervene in a foreign dispute between two other nations, you cite an agreement related to a treaty that doesn’t obligate the U.S. to do any such thing?

Get Nuclear Nonproliferation right, or the world is well and truly Fracked.

Great. What the hell does this have to do with Ukraine and Russia today?
