That pic is the Iranian navy ship Khark that sank last year. If we get any pics, they will have to come from Russia, so we probably won’t see any. I suspect the Moskva has already sunk.

As much as I don’t mind seeing the Russians get their noses bloodied, I take no joy in young men on a burning ship. If it were them or me, I would rather it would be them.

A good book that well describes the violence of naval warfare is “Neptune’s Inferno” by James Hornfischer dealing with the naval battles around the Solomon Islands in the second half of 1942 when the US and Japanese fleets still had a degree of parity.

Even with the storm, there may be satellite images or composite images.

Our orbiting sensors are pretty good, and not just ours.

Exactly. This is such a stupid war, and I believe the "Biden" administration, whoever is running it, egged Putin on, thinking it would be just a little "Wag the Dog" they needed to keep power.

Since the Russians have reportedly said the ship’s sailors have now all been evacuated it’s probably safe to say it likely has sunk or, if not, is “totaled”.

It caught fire, so it must have been hit by missiles.

The chances of that do increase when you're at war, and sailing in a war zone.

Get spotted by a drone in range of a cruise missile that is directed by inertial navigation and active radar homing for the terminal phase and the odds of a fire go up substantially.
