Greetings:
Can anybody here point me to a non-PC web browser that can post images as wallpaper? I have both Microsoft Edge and Gab Dissenter, but neither appears to be capable of posting images as wallpaper. I was thinking of downloading Firefox again, as I've had it before, and it can create wallpapers from images. Unfortunately, I have no idea whether that lunatic who wanted to squash Trumpian internet thought is still in charge of Mozilla.
(FD: I do use Firefox on my work laptop, and it's fine for that purpose and used by lots of us at work, along with Google Chrome. I'm just not sure downloading FF for my home PC is the right thing to do.)
Back in the day, there were browsers that would do it for you. At least Firefox did. No idea if it still can.
I personally download any images I want, then use the computer to choose background.
Lol.. that is Exactly what I did. DL’ed a bunch of nice pics, put them in a folder, and now they rotate every hour :D
To be clear, you want your browser background to be a custom image you upload.
Correct?
FWIW:
I presume you want a browser background of your own choosing and not their default or ‘image of the day’.
Here’s the deal about Edge: It doesn’t work on Win10, but it works on Win11 (I have 2 laptops side-by-side this evening as I set up my new one).
And about Edge: It sucks for customization, AND the image must be formatted for a pixel size which I cannot ascertain.
Can’t tell you which one to use since I’ve never tried that feature until I saw your post. That stated, I just tried Brave: It does NOT have a custom image option. And I do not find that option in AVG either. Nor Chrome.
Actually, I would want it for the wallpaper for the desktop.
I recall scrolling comments that desktop custom image was answered. Am I correct?
Totally unrelated to the browser, though Edge has some customization in a browser window (limited).
FWIW
Waterfox allows ads Brave does not
waterfox will take any firefox addons. ublockorigin + yesscript2 will take care of most everything. Ghostery to go extreme.
