PRESCOTT, ARIZONA – (March 11, 2022) – Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office and partners including the National Center for Exploited and Missing Children (NCMEC); the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUS); Othram, the laboratory that conducted the DNA analysis; and a long list of others over the years, have finally identified the little girl whose remains were found in the desert in Yavapai County in 1960.
The unidentified little girl who won the hearts of Yavapai County in 1960 and who occupied the minds and time of YCSO and partners for 62 years, will now rightfully be given her name back and will no longer need to be referred to as Little Miss Nobody.
Please join us for a press conference that will include the Yavapai County Sheriff David Rhodes and YCSO detectives and cold case investigators who will give an overview of the investigation over the 62 years, along with representatives from Othram who will speak to the unique DNA analysis that was used to help make the identification. Representatives from the NCMEC and NamUS will also be in attendance.
The press conference will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at 11 AM in room 147 at the Yavapai Community College in Prescott, 1100 E. Sheldon St. Building 19, and will be streamed on Facebook Live at https://www.facebook.com/YavapaiCountySheriff/.

That’s awesome.
I wonder if her family had something to do with her death, since they didn’t come forward to report her missing?
Why you waste our time?
I think Forensic Geneology is fascinating in how it’s used to solve cold cases like this.
Why you waste our time?
You read the story and replied so it wasn’t wasted.
1960’s
Miss Nobody.
.
Does she have a Name now?
News at eleven.
Do we need a build up?

They could just tell us. Are getting Geraldo to MC the event?
I’m talking about linking to a song that has nothing to do with this.
I thought it would be a video about the case.
Turned out it was a dumb song.
Read 12.
I just did and completely misunderstood the reason it was posted.
I have asked the mods to delete my comment to you.
Sorry
The mother could have been a single mom, whose body was never found. It happens. Guy kills the mom, then the kids. He may have a done a better job of hiding the mother's body. If the kid hadn't started school, and the mother had minimal social contact, she could have disappeared without leaving a trace.
Thanks.
You don’t need to delete it. It’s no big deal.
Isn’t it kinda tacky promoting this like a new Netflicks series? Just tell us already.
That was my thought.

According to the article this is a very important case to the community. They probably want everyone who has worked on the case present in order to answer questions, including investigators, members of the alphabet agencies and the DNA lab.
Very likely the community gave this little girl a funeral back in the day and many will be extremely happy to have a name for her headstone. Think of it as a combined late birthday/coming out party for their little girl. I can see the reason for that.
