Who is ready for 2022?
Several national publications have put out Way Too Early Top 25 rankings for the 2022 college football season.
The consensus at the top has not changed. Alabama, Ohio State and Georgia are the top three choices and likely will be the front-runners for the 2022-23 College Football Playoff.
Who else could make a run? Sporting News posted its Way Too Early Top 25, but we also took a look at other publications. We compiled a composite list using rankings from ESPN, CBS Sports, Sports Illustrated, The Athletic, Yahoo Sports, 247Sports, Action Network and Athlon.
We used an inverse scoring method (awarding 25 points to a No. 1 selection, 24 for a No. 2 selection, all the way down to one point for a No. 25 selection) to determine the highest possible score for each school.

MORE: The Alabama Dynasty Isn’t Going Anywhere
I don’t see how Bama shouldn’t be the overwhelming favorite, they were relatively young this season.
It’s too dang early for this!
Let the Dawgs have their days in the glory.
But, I can Roll Tide you back!
It is the Saban effect. Players in college football come and go so fast. Coaches endure.
This actually kind of made me sad....

Receiving votes: Texas, Nebraska? LOL.
Come on folks...
I’ve always been a ND fan, but I cannot see them in the top 10. ND’s propensity for losing bowl games year after year needs to be taken into consideration along with their soft schedules.
Is it a dynasty when you lose three of five national championships and get the hell beat out of you twice? Is simply going to the big dance enough? Because that’s where Alabama is. Half their titles and their aura of invincibility occurred when they won three of four in the early years of the Saban reign. And Roll Tide, by the way.
HOW 'BOUT THEM DAWGS!!!!
Hannah is going to be a big star. She’s so good.
How is Georgia top 4?? They were driven by a great defense who’ll all be in the NFL next season along with the LT and starting RB’s.
Addition by subtraction when Kelly left. Could never get the QB spot right
This means nothing. Coaches will change, players will graduate, new players will come in.
If Urban didn’t screw up in Jax, he’d be the ND coach now.
I don’t know- Meyer had plenty of chances previously to coach ND. Maybe the powers that be at ND knew the type of person he was and said, “no way.”
The guy Notre Dame should’ve gone after was Luke Fickell- mind boggling a major school has not gone after him.
I’m not sure I’d put Clemson at number 5. They still have a QB situation to sort out.
I tell you what, I would not have wanted to play Clemson at the end of the season. They totally destroyed South Carolina, who themselves, were coming on at the end of the year.
I assert Clemson would have given Georgia and Bama much tougher games than Michigan and Cincinnati did.
They got rolled pretty good Monday night.
I’m not convinced that Uiagalelei is the solution at QB. Their defense carried them a lot of the way through the season.
But the offense certainly was much better at the end of the season, and with their defense, they really didn’t need all that great of an offense.
