Yesterday I took an international flight which means that today I am somewhere else. I have just victoriously concluded a two hour battle with my quarantine hotel and have obtained a fresh pot of coffee served in crockery, as opposed to instant coffee in a paper cup. I am in quarantine for five days because I am among the ranks of the unclean. In other words, I have not bent the knee to our want-to-be overlords and submitted to their death jab.
Actions have consequences. On both sides.
I flew business class which was a practical choice. In business you are treated better; you are more important. Thus, any issues that sprung up due to my unvaccinated status were immediately solved. I was seated at the front of the plane next to a professional from a very large company who was rather high up on the chain. We got talking, we got along, the flight was pleasant. I nursed a cognac for an extraordinary long time so as to avoid the whole mask charade. I had tried the same trick in economy on my previous flight and it hadn’t worked. However, with the same airline in business class I was not bothered once. Viruses may not respect international borders but they sure do respect social ones.
After a long period of silence in which I read a book, and with an hour to go on the flight, the two of us began talking again. The subject of the virus came up. My corporate travel neighbor confidently expressed the opinion that those who had remained stubbornly unvaxxed should have their lives made as miserable as possible until they comply. I smiled and nodded and made some small remarks concerning the strangeness of the whole situation; the contradictory evidence and the rushed nature of the vaccines, but I did it in a way that was entirely neutral and non-combative.
He obviously had no doubt at all that I was vaccinated. His assumption was complete on that scale. I was an equal and the thought never entered his head that I could be a dissenter from the true scientific faith. We were on the same side but more importantly, we were on the same level. And I left him with his comfortable assumptions. I did not break the spell. As someone who tends to be on the combative side of things I rarely shy from a ribald exchange of views. But with the vaxx, as with faith, I tend not to argue.
To be fully vaccinated soon you will need boosters.
Sure they do. Thats why they are all pissed at those refusing the jab! They bought the lie and dont like feeling like a sucker. Even though there are millions of them to keep each other company.
IRONY. Funny word that lately has been making me smile.
Thanks for the info on the Cal football team—had not seen it.
I have had similar experiences as the writer of the article.
For some reason vaxxed folks assumes someone who acts like them (fits their profile of a “normal” person) is automatically vaxxed.
This is part of their magical thinking that got them vaxxed in the first place.
They assume all the unvaxxed are either wearing MAGA hats or are members of one of those “inferior races” with “ignorant superstitions”.
“My corporate travel neighbor confidently expressed the opinion that those who had remained stubbornly unvaxxed should have their lives made as miserable as possible until they comply.”
Probably pro choice no doubt.
That inconsistency is insanity
Yup and they want the unvaxxed to take a so-called vaccine that neither stops infection or transmission to protect the vaccinated, who can still catch it and transmit it themselves.
IOW, they want everyone to take the same useless vaccine they themselves took.
That’s my concern with natural immunity. I totally agree that it’s far superior to the serum, but there are a lot of people who have been told that they’ve tested positive who may be let down when they have an antibody test.
I’m guessing receiving vaxxed blood may not be as dangerous as first appears. If I remember correctly, blood cells are only made in bone marrow and have a limited working life.
Ah, but fact and reality indicate otherwise.
But some like living in alternative realities.
That said, no mandates.
The Cal FB team is proof the vax does not work. Look for more teams to have the same results.
You mean the coincidence that Aaron Rodgers is from the Cal football team?
I’m almost to the end of the book “Ordinary Men” about the German Reserve Police Unit 101. These were men who had other jobs before being called up. Many were middle aged and comfortable in life. They were sent to Poland in 1941 to help with the Jewish problem. They were interviewed in the 60’s.
It’s scary how 80-90% of the men participated even though they could ask to not participate. The reasons are banal. They didn’t want to look weak. They wanted to not be isolated and to be accepted. They wanted to advance in the police. They didn’t want to be considered shirkers. They hunted and slaughtered defenseless people because it was their job.
The book talks about how it is easier for people to kill someone they don’t know. So, jobs were assigned to round up. Then someone else transported, others guarded, and others killed.
The book talks about the rising anti-semitism of the Germans after 1933 and how it helped shape opinions. I see the same happening here. The hatred the left is cultivating is real. I think of people I know. Who will participate willingly? Who will do just enough to be left alone? Who will resist? It’s definitely an interesting time to be alive.
Can anybody recommend a book or movie about Germany between 1933 and 1945 that describes life for regular people?
This links to a quick timeline from Hitler’s election to the end. See any similarities to today? https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/the-holocaust-year-by-year/zkxwgwx
Oh yeah, I have thought about this! Is it possible to request non-vaccinated blood? Or donate your own blood?
How did you coincidentally know that?
Great post—most folks just take the path of least resistance—even if it leads straight into the gas chambers—either as a guard or a victim.
Ditto, Pro -Choice
And the Covid injections are NOT vaccines
Asymptomatic transmission is a myth, and unvaccinated positives are more likely to have symptoms.
Age matters, underlying health matters, vaccine duration matters, testing methodology matters...but overall vaccination significantly reduces symptomatic infection.
Are any of the football players actually ill, or did they just test positive?
Same here. I will not be vaxxed with the clot shot. But I do have my childhood immunizations, so if asked if vaxxed, I truthfully say I am.
If they were to ask if I have the covid shot, I would say, “per HIPAA regulations, I don’t discuss my medical history.
