The ABC and NBC evening news networks tried to sweep major warnings that Americans will face skyrocketing energy prices this winter under the rug for two straight days of coverage.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) released a devastating report Oct. 13 showing that “households across the United States will spend more on energy this winter compared with the past several winters.” The reason is because of “higher energy prices and because we assume a slightly colder winter than last year in much of the United States,” noted the EIA. The price spikes are enormous. The nearly half of U.S. households that primarily use natural gas for heating will pay an average of “$746, or 30% more than they spent last winter.” The five percent of households that primarily use propane will pay an average of $631, or a whopping 54 percent more than last winter. The four percent of households that primarily use heating oil will pay an average of $1,734, or 43 percent more than last winter. And the 41 percent of households that primarily use electricity for heating will pay an average of $1,268, or six percent more than last winter.
Like the delinquent pro-President Joe Biden propaganda arms they are, ABC World News Tonight and NBC Nightly News ignored the bad energy cost news during their Oct. 13 and Oct. 14 broadcasts.

Sure going to miss those Trump years of fuel bills. Got a 500 gallon tank. Going to keep the thermostat set at 65, but we get a bad winter, its going to take a big chunk out of my budget.
They didn’t ignore it.
They were trying to figure out to spin it!
Quite a few proggies are of the infantile “it isn’t true until I admit it” frame of mind. News organizations are saturated with them.
I get my power from the local nuke plant than from heating oil, but I will assume the &@*%^¥€ state regulators will approve price increases to appease shareholder and share the asspain.
That takes care of 30% of my COLA. Gas for my car...takes care of another 10%. Food costs take the rest of it....and more.
That’s what I came in here to say.
I am glad I’m on a two year contract from September 2020 ... unless the company pulls some force majeure BS and voids it.
When will they start blaming it on those EVIL OIL COMPANIES?
It’s coming.
Their favorite bias other than tricky misleading falsehoods is this, bias by omission, like it never happened.
ABC is Disney
NBC is Comcast
That’s why.
Because the only solution to high energy prices is for everyone to get vaxxed.
Because the only solution to (fill in the blank) is for everyone to get vaxxed.
Why that might save lives if they did. The agenda is the opposite.
They are trying to figure out how to pad the story with inferences that anyone who is greedy enough to wish to heat their homes above 55 degrees is part of the problem.
Thank God I’m moving to Florida next month....
I, for one, will gladly pay higher energy prices as long as I know that Hunter Biden gets to snort cocaine off some whore’s ass.
My sympathies to those in cold climates.
My gas bill here rarely exceeds $75/month in winter. $20/month in summer.
But my electric bill in summer is often over $200.
We have a full propane tank, locked in at 2020 prices - but, as others have said - we shall see.
However, I had my first $50.00 fill-up for the car this week. It’s a Ford Escape, just a little 4-banger. I am severely limiting any extra trips anywhere that I can.
Totally going into Hunker-Down Mode, much as I did for all of 0bama’s eight-year ‘Reign of Error.’ This is worse, IMHO. 0bama playing from the side-lines now and no one is flagging him on anything. :(
p
Yeah…like the orchestra playing on the deck of the Titanic…
