Kroger Shooting, Gunman Identified as UK Thang, 29

UK Thang was identified as the gunman who shot 15 people, one fatally, at a Kroger grocery store in Collierville, Tennessee.

Collierville Police Chief Dale Lane confirmed in a news conference that the gunman shot multiple people. There are at least 15 victims, with two dead, including the gunman, he said. The other victims are stable.

Thang was 29 years old and shot and killed himself at the scene. Police declined to give his name in a news conference, but they released it to the news media afterwards, according to the Daily Memphian.

I’m talking throughout the world- also, mass incidents were not really recorded until around 1966. Some more notorious Cases made the news before then, but not all. There were nurses, caretakers, women who murdered their spouses for money, multiple spouses, sic, twisted individuals all through history, long before meds for mental illness.

There was the fella who had the ‘hotel, horrors’ and murderd a great many people during th3 chicago,Chicago, fair back when. There was th butcher who killed women in his shed, on and on it goes. While they took place over months or years, they were still mass murders- gacey, Dahmer, bundy etc, even before these folks there were sic, twisted individuals.

And also,you are talking about very specific spree incidents, not mass murders as a whole. All the killings have one thing in common, a viloent individual with a sick mind, which we have always had, all throughout the world, and which took place long before meds were available. Heck even the mobs znd gangs went on spree killings if we wanna just talk about that one specific topic. There is something else at play though for the recent spree killings- the desire to leave a mark by sick individuals. Many of whom were sick before being placed on meds, and as mentioned above, if it were the meds responsible, we would see a massive uptick of cases because more and more people have been put on meds, and more and more folks these days have a harder time controlling their anger. (Go to a Popeyes when they run out of chicken- it’s downright dangerous- look,at folks going berserk when a fast food place doesn’t give them what they asked for, etc, society is getting very angry- and the left are capitalizing on this by turning citizens against each other over masks, vaccines etc, )

Well, not so sure about that. My late husband & I lived in Collierville back in the early 70s. Nice little town. We had a record shop there on the square. Large black segment of population, so we did well selling records. Son #2 tried to burn down the town by setting fire to an empty lot. We liked it there. Daughter graduated H.S. there. I was in an accident there that could have taken my life but I came out of it without a scratch. Large Chemical plant east of town. Had one incident there with leaked chemicals. I’m sorry about this shooting. It would not have happened there back in those days.

I've even noticed that in my local bar morning crowd, which is mostly retirees and self-employed blue-collar workers who set their own schedules. Political allegiances vary, but I'd say that overall it leans conservative, unusual for the Seattle area.

At any rate, in the past couple of months I've noticed a lot of bickering and spats going on. One of the bartenders has been making a lot of mistakes keeping track of drinks and food orders, and there have been disputes even among long time friends.

I've wondered if this is Covid stress or political stress, or even some subtle effect of the vaccines (most have been vaccinated).

In about a month, we are facing vaccine mandates to enter a bar or restaurant, and even in this conservative-leaning bar I've heard murmurings against the unvaccinated. As an unvaccinated person, I decided to remove myself from the bar before the law forced me to. I don't want to be perceived as a threat to anyone.

Yup, I do beleive covid stress is a major cause, and I beleive the ,eft leveraged the fact that people woi,would, get stressed and turn against each other.

I also think that the racial issue is another major cause of increasing anger and decision, again, perpetrated by the left to divide everyone.

The left are masters at division and also at creating a crisis where none exists (look at the border agents they accused falsely of ‘whipping immigrants’, in a blatant attempt to cause the public to envision the slave trade and white masters beating their slaves)

There are likely a lot of reasons for increasing anger, but covid mandates certainly is one of the major reasons people are getting angry and intolerant. Even families are splitting apart over it. Nazis destroyed peoples morals and unity by dividing the families by getting kids to rat on Their parents and neighbors. The left here in the US are doing the same- destroying the family unit as much as possible.

I don’t blame you for leaving the bar. I’m hearing lots of rumblings too in our conservative neighborhood. It’s getting ugly.
