How dare the police stress him out. Couldn’t they have let him carry on with his day, all drugged up behind the wheel of a car?

I propose the following new law that must be administered to any person stopped by the police.

Any person who is lawfully stopped by the police must fill out a medical questionnaire prior to the person being stopped can begin physical resistance of arrest. Based upon their known medical conditions the officers will then be limited to the amount and type of restraint that can be used.

Methamphetamine and hypertension are not a good combination.

what are police to do? Stop and ask the violently resisting perp “Gee, are you ok? Are you stressed about something?”

of course not- There was no time to assess the perp’s mental health as he was fighting with police inside the vehicle, putting himself and officers at risk of injury- there was only time to subdue a very large man resisting arrest, as carefully as possible given the circumstances and drugged out condition of the perp-

IF stress contributed to George’s death, then George brought it all on himself- He was clearly stressed even before he was put into the back of the car- from the very first he was stressed and complaining about not being able to breathe- George was in the process of dying when police rolled up on him outside the store-

[[“And in my opinion, the law enforcement subdual, restraint and the neck compression was just more than Mr. Floyd could take]]

You are a liar sir- there was no neck compression- the defence proved that yesterday- even liberal ‘news’ networks have backed off from making that false claim!

On re-direct the ME Baker emphasized that Cause of Death was: Law Enforcement.... neck compression, Contributing causes as drugs and high blood pressure, heart disease.
If the jury is torn they may hang heir decision on this man’s testimony.

Defense better have a good expert to counter this.

I wonder if George was in active heart disease prevention care and following medical directives. The daily requirement of heart medications are very expensive.

He also said that the stress was caused by the way the police held him down.

Because just being arrested for passing counterfeit currency isn't stressful all by itself, especially given his other comorbidities?

“...that is, his heart stopped.”

That’s quite unusual in the history of humanity, a person dying when their heart stopped.

If George Floyd hadn’t ingested lethal doses of opioids, he might still be alive.

If George Floyd hadn’t passed a counterfeit bill, he might still be alive.

If George Floyd hadn’t got behind the wheel of a car on a public street while HIGH AS AN EFFING KITE (something people don’t talk about for some reason), he might still be alive.

If George Floyd wouldn’t have continued to resist arrest, he might still be alive.

If George Floyd had just sat upright in the backseat of the squad car like the police BEGGED him to do repeatedly, he might still be alive.

But, it’s all Derek Chauvin’s fault the prosecution claims. This is such a 21st century case: People aren’t responsible for their own actions, ever. It’s always the government’s problem to fix.

Just shows how the Minnesota AG is another incompetent. They overcharged the police officer from the start. Now it could very well be that Officer Chauvin was guilty of not rendering aid when Floyd lapsed into unconsciousness. But that isn’t murder. It’s not even manslaughter, but if he had been charged with negligent manslaughter they’d at least have a shot at a legitimate conviction that would survive an appeal.

The way it looks I think there’s a fair chance that this jury will convict — but that this goes before an appellate court and gets overturned. So Minneapolis will burn when this trial is over, and probably again in 1 - 2 years when the appeal overturns it. We’re having a fire-sale on city fires. 3 for 1.
