Moments after George Floyd was taken away in an ambulance last May, former Minneapolis Police officer Derek Chauvin was confronted by a witness who took issue with Chauvin’s allegedly kneeling on Floyd’s neck.
“That’s one person’s opinion,” Chauvin responded as he got into his squad car. “We had to control this guy because he’s a sizable guy. It looks like he’s probably on something.”
Jurors in the murder trial of former Minneapolis Police officer Derek Chauvin have heard testimony from 11 witnesses so far who have recounted the death of George Floyd over the last three days.
Chauvin is facing multiple charges in connection to the May 25 death of Floyd, a Black man who died in police custody, including second-degree murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter. The former officer was caught on camera with his knee allegedly pinned against Floyd’s neck for more than nine minutes as Floyd cried out he could not breathe.
During the trial last week for the first time, we saw images from other angles appear to show Derek Chauvin’s knee was actually on George Floyd’s back. Images below:
Today Chauvin’s lawyer decided to post the viral Facebook video side by side with the police bodycam.
Police Chief Arradondo agrees with Chauvin’s attorney that Chauvin’s knee appears to be on Floyd’s neck in the bystander video, but appears to be on his shoulder blade in the body-cam video
*video may be disturbing to some viewers*

More in the video below:
In opening statements, Derek Chauvin’s defense attorney claimed that George Floyd died because of heart problems complicated by a drug overdose – and not because of a police officer’s knee on his neck.
A key autopsy report introduced as evidence in pre-trial motions reveals that drugs were indeed found in Floyd’s system.
Images from the report below:
Defense attorney Eric Nelson told the jury the autopsy found “a mixture of methamphetamine and fentanyl.”
“This is what’s called a Speedball – a mixture of an opioid and a stimulant,” Nelson said. “The evidence will show that Mr. Floyd died of a cardiac arrhythmia that occurred a result of hypertension, his coronary disease, ingestion of methamphetamine and fentanyl, and the adrenaline flowing through his body.”
Court has finished for today. The murder trial of Derek Chauvin in Minneapolis, in the death of George Floyd last May, will continue. Chauvin denies all the charges against him. We’ll have a fresh blog for you tomorrow.
I’m not an attorney but the redundancy and inflammatory nature of the continual parade of pictures and videos are a sure fire way to win an appeal.
These were opening statements, I watched the video.
Doesn’t matter what the truth is.
Still betting on burning Minneapolis to the ground as a fair outcome.
I wonder if Vegas is giving any odds on the Mayhem that is sure to follow, like How Many Cities will Burn, How Many buildings burned, how many stores looted, ....
Let the rioting commence...
The other possibility is the “eyewitness” video could have been doctored from the beginning.
Whoa.
THIS is a fact.
When you see convoys of semis removing the stock from all the stores, you will know it is over. (just kidding, kinda)
This leaves reasonable doubt.
The lieutenant that testified must be either a total moron or he’s on the take.
I’m wondering why the cops took him out of the squad car and placed him on his stomach. Floyd was freaking out emotionally, but was under control physically.
If he was already having pulmonary stress, laying him on his stomach/chest with hands cuffed behind his back would have made it hard to breath...never mind the knee.
Chauvin did not murder the guy...it was ridiculous to even charge him with 2nd or 3rd degree murder. The defense needs to hammer home the fact that Floyd had a lethal dose of fentanyl in his system along with other drugs such as Percocet, methamphetamine at the time of his death.
Then bolster the fact that he had heart disease and was also complaining he couldn’t breath even before they placed cuffs on him.
Will Chauvin be found guilty of 2nd/3rd degree murder...nope. Manslaughter...maybe. Fact is, people better start boarding up.
This changes the 9min timeline because now we don't know when his knee moved to his shoulder blade.
Remember, Dershowitz won the von Bulow retrial without even putting on a case for the defense. He only cross examined Prosecution witnesses
So, anyone who does not destroy the Prosecution on the first go round isnt up to his standards.
Well actually, I am trying to find this out so I know when to redeploy 2A assets around the house like I did last year when crap hit the fan since I live in one of the cities that was rocked by riots last year. (not kidding, really)
It doesn’t matter. We had a case in Cleveland where a police shooting was fully exonerated, but the city gave the family millions anyway. Strangely there is no linkage whatsoever between the criminal and civil tort systems. OJ killings made that clear long ago.
It doesn’t matter WHAT the jury decides. There will be looting, raping, arson, and murder after the trial is over regardless.
The useful idiots for the left which are also urban savages and loons are awaiting their orders. I’m not so sure Chauvin will be found not guilty........just look at OJ.....he did everything but leave his drivers license at Nicole’s.......damn!!
