If they survived until 1933 they would have been melted down. This sudden infusion of supply will certainly depress the value of the surviving pieces, though I suspect the 1866 $20 dollar piece is unique enough to hold its value.

Remembering the movie Goldfinger Bond was informed since gold can be melted down it’s virtually untraceable. I suppose they thought the rare coinage value might have made it worth more. Now it’s value to them might be 0.
