CNN has said a lot of crazy things over the past four years.
But one of the things that makes CNN special, in a bad sense of that word, is how imperial their hosts are; from Jake Tapper to Brian Stelter, they think they dictate the truth.
But Don Lemon may have taken the cake with his comments today. He apparently knows the mind of God and is telling us what God thinks.
Lemon was on The View with Meghan McCain discussing the comments made by the Pope about same-sex unions, as my colleague Streiff wrote about earlier today. Basically, the Pope was saying, according to that report, that the Church couldn’t bless same-sex unions. Not exactly breaking news, but a long-term Catholic stance.
Lemon, apparently the arbiter of religion now, said that the Catholic Church and other Churches really need to reexamine themselves and their teachings, because that is not what God is about.
CNN's Don Lemon reacts to the Vatican declaring that God cannot bless same-sex unions:

“God is not about hindering people or even judging people,” he exclaimed. He then went on to say that Jesus said, “Judge not lest ye be judged.” He then further dissed the Catholic Church and other religions suggesting that their views were due to them being somehow racist or not getting out and knowing others.
How many ways was this comment completely screwed up?
First, as we mentioned, there’s that CNN thinking — only they can expound on the truth. Imagine Lemon here is actually dictating to the Catholic Church and other churches, and then unfairly suggesting they’re racist in the bargain.
Second, not sanctioning same-sex unions in the Catholic Church is actually up to them, whether you agree with the decision or not. It isn’t about making a judgment on any person but on the question of whether they will recognize same-sex unions.
But perhaps the most astonishing thing is Lemon is going to tell us what God thinks and God isn’t about judging people? Really? When did God tell Don that? He’s mixed up Jesus’ comment about people not judging others and equated that to God not judging others. But what’s implicit in Jesus’ statement, “Judge not lest ye be judged,” is that there is a final judgment. Who does he think is making that judgment? Hint: it isn’t Don Lemon.
Of course God judges, he does that throughout the Old and New Testament if we’re talking about Catholic understanding. There’s that whole Heaven and Hell thing, remember? How does that happen? Maybe he needs to study what the Catholic Church or other Christian Churches actually think before trying to dictate to them or dictating the mind of God?
The Clintons had a problem too in that
their Methodist spokesperson in the White
House was essentially telling what was what.
After Bill and Hillary had communion in
South Africa while Jesse Jackson watched
there was a problem.
Yeah Don it is such a racist country how in the hell did you manage to find a WHITE partner??? Just askin!!!
Exactly.
A must read, bookmarked. I have wondered for many years what He(or She, as the case may be) thinks about all of this.
Finally, a news service on cable worth paying for.
That Don Lemon is married to Tim Malone, tells me that no man of a reprobate mind will tell what God thinks.
Romans 1:28-32
And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not proper, being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful; and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.
You are thinking like me. See Post #27
As it was in the Days of Lot...
Why is his mouth always shown as “open” on the show?
Oh, never mind! /sarc
Yet you, like any other sinner (everyone for you folks in Rio Linda) can accept the sacrifice of His Son and be forgiven.
If the sodomite Lemon turns from his degeneracy and seeks forgiveness his would be God’s grace. That’s for the Lord to decide. How ever not all are saved or forgiven. Were that the case there would be no Hell.
