Gunmaker Sig Sauer is facing a new lawsuit from a U.S. federal agent who claims his holstered P320 pistol discharged without him pulling the trigger and struck him in his upper right hip.
According to a Thursday press release by Saltz Mongeluzzi & Bendesky P.C., former U.S. Marine and Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE) agent Keith Slatowski was preparing to discharge his service pistol at a government firing range on Sept. 21, 2020, without him touching or even pulling the trigger.
The accidental discharge resulted in “substantial injury, maceration of tissue, blood loss, and nerve damage” according to the press release. The lawsuit alleges Slatowski’s injuries are the result of “potentially deadly design defects.”

The lawsuit is particularly noteworthy as the Sig Sauer P320 is a design nearly identical to the M17 and M18 Modular Handgun System adopted by the U.S. Army in 2017.

Slatowski’s lawsuit alleges the P320 has had at least 28 accidental discharge incidents among law enforcement officers, 15 of which have resulted in injuries.

We’ll see if it can be duplicated.
:)
I seem to remember a hubbub several years ago regarding Remington 700 rifles that would accidentally discharge.
“I shot my brother’s and it’s a nice piece.”
You can always get new brothers. ;-)
I enjoy your sarcasm. Total dumbassery is the question. Why would you even own a Glock is the question. Dad bought one, WORST gun ever. Believe me, I’m an accomplished pistoleer. This ain’t it.
He then proceeded to walk all over everyone's pistols.
And then do the day's training.
The guy with the Kimber showed up with a Glock the next day.
There it is. I don’t remember anyone shooting himself with one, unintentionally.
Yet Milt Sparks has been around for how long?
Seeing that all my autos except a Colt Pocket Hammerless from 1922 are Sigs, I am inclined to agree.
Awe, Texh was a good guy. Was so good, he posted the video as a warning to others, and got made fun of so strongly that you can’t find his stuff anymore.
Nobody uses those holsters anymore mostly because of that video.
Is P320 one of the Sig decocker DA/SA actions?
Ooh, you're going to have the 1911 cult coming after you, better duck. 😁😁
I have a lesser opinion of him after that story, lol.
I would certainly not make it a matter of permanent public record by filing a law suit.
I’m of the 1911 cult, lol. 100 yard gun. Ssee tagline.
I remember that as well.
That gun looks suspicious... Like a Cobra waiting to strike...
Every gun manufacturer has a great line of firearms, whatever works best for the individual shooter is a good EDC or home defense weapon.
(Except the 1911) J/K 😁
Hilarious. I enjoyed your humor, lol.
It was a great class, The other instructor was a guy fronm Australia who came to the U.S. with the sole purpose of being a firearms instructor.
