Sen. Ted Cruz is in the doghouse with some critics who blasted him for reportedly leaving his pet pooch, Snowflake, at home amid freezing temps — as he and the rest of the family jetted off to Cancun, Mexico.
The Republican lawmaker has claimed in the wake of public outrage that he was merely escorting his pre-teen daughters on their trip with friends — noting that, like millions of his fellow Texans, his family had lost heat and water.

Because he TOTALLY stepped in it, and you know that. No one gave a crape about what Cruz was doing until he jetted off to a resort in the tropics while people that he represents were literally freezing to death.

Ted threw President Trump under the bus recently and is currently a victim of the “Trump Curse”. It has little to do with his recent ham handed buffoonery. He is merely reaping what he has sowed. So get over it!

I think it was both reckless and irresponsible because he said repeatedly—and he said over and over again—he won by a landslide; there was massive fraud; it was all stolen everywhere. That evidence, the campaign did not prove that in any court, and to make a determination about an election it has to be based on the evidence, and so simply saying the result you want, that's not responsible and you've never heard me use language like that.”
Later in the interview he called the events of January 6 “a terrorist attack on the United States Capital.”

Two stories gaining momentum in the news..... Cuomo killed granny and lied about it and green energy failed in Texas.
Media - we need a story to divert attention from these so let’s pretend a US Senator has something to do with running the electrical grid in Texas so we can bash him and act like its his fault and ignore these other stories.
The left is going after Texas hard folks. Cruz is just the opening salvo of their new plan. Weaken him and turn conservatives against Cruz AND divert from their own failed narratives (Cuomo and green energy).
Weak justifications for forwarding liberal talking points.
What Cruz did is a bonus. He likely removed himself from serious contention for President (he already was for many of us) with his criticism of Trump so now he can concentrate on being a Senator. Polling has been brutal for those who bash Trump and they all realize it now.
Cruz is one of the last Senators we have to worry about voting with us.
