I disagree that he’s being hypocritical. The trip was planned long ago and he urged people not to get in icy roads during the storm. Totally different than Newsome or Pelosi telling people to “social distance” and then going to parties at expensive restaurants and having a hair dresser open specifically for you.
Cruz is one of the only good guys out there. He wasn’t outside in Texas. No hypocrisy at all! Heck, I left Texas too when I saw what was coming!
Wait a sec. His “stay home” comment was to keep people from driving in adverse conditions. Totally different context. I’ve got no problem with anyone getting out of Dodge in real bad weather conditions.

What he’s not allowed to go on vacation because it’s cold out? He’s not running the state. He’s a federal senator. He votes - that’s about it.
"Stay at home" was meant to keep people off of dangerous roads if they didn't have to go somewhere. People weren't "banned" from going out.
This is just the MSM trying to make Republicans defensive and goad them into making stupid statements for the next news cycle.
