right after the 2nd acquittal of the President, my pi-hole started blocking freerepublic as well as some links on other right wing sites (such as ben shapiro's site.) I whitelisted it but just a heads up to those with pi-holes!
If you want a list of my adlists, pm me.
Sorry Gator. That Greek was intended for AbolishCSEU.
Oh, and go into raspi-config and set the pi to wait for network on boot and run a vpn client on your pi. Your DNS queries are none of your ISPs business.
WTF is pie hole?
I beg to differ. My cornbread is made in a antique skillet. It is as round as any Pi. ;-)
I am a peasant, and I don’t see ads.
Mac Os, Brave browser, duckduckgo.

Not seeing ads elevates you from the peasantry. You are a freeman, not a serf.
tp link AX6000 still waiting for 3rd party firmware so i can disable QOS
Nice router. What kind of fiber connection are you running?
I see it has 2.5 Gbps WAN Port.
“that block ads network wide.”
How is an ad recognized?
John has a long mustache.
I live in a rural area about 7 minutes away from a small city. we just got Spectrum 1.5 yrs ago. Before that we had DSL that they wouldn’t double bond. The same company ran fibre here when Spectrum came to town, but I’d rather not deal with them.
I have a crapload of devices including a 6 TB NAS. speeds vary greatly with my business acct.
Ads, at least 95% of them are served by domains owned by ad companies. The DNS server blackholes (says they dont exist) those domains. Your browser or whatever program does not look for them since it was told they don’t exist. Less to download so it actually boosts speed. Some sites like Breitbart load in 1/4th of the time and look 100% better.
Your router is overkill by orders of magnitude. ;-) (So just pack it up and send it to me)
You should do some testing. Believe it or not I see my best performance by far on 165 20mhz. I run OpenWRT on all my routers. The quoted specs and what these things do are worlds apart.
Thank you
That’s quite alright, I learned something today already.
Broadcom chips. Going to be an issue for 3rd party firmware.

I have had to whitelist many domains on my Pi-Hole recently. Yesterday freerepublic was one. Citizenfreepress.com, thefederalist.com, and a few others. Something is definitely being done.
I didn’t know either - a quick and easy search gave me the info w/o having to whine that they didn’t explain it.
