He should have never let it happen in the first place.

The process is the punishment.

Dems want to bring in witnesses.

The witnesses they want to bring are not material witnesses that can speak to criminal or incriminating behavior. The witnesses the loonies want to bring are similar to impact statements left during the sentencing phase of a trial -- bringing folks forward to cry and tug at the heartstrings in order to amp up the hatred.

And five of our asses allowed it to go forward...

“Mitch McConnell Says He Will Vote to Acquit Trump”

This might be a moot point by now, with that “Hail Mary” pass by the House prosecution team, to call witnesses.

The Senate trial is now destined to stretch into weeks, if not months, before resolution. Perhaps not a bad thing, as it makes it possible to not deal with a LOT of the nonsense that will be passed on party-line vote in the House of Representatives.

Meanwhile Joe Stolen continues to sign blank checks for his staff to fill in and publicize as “Executive Orders”.

At some point they will bring in some random citizen who will testify that the Bad Orange Man gave him nightmares.

This is too sad to be even funny. The descent of the Senate into the sewer. Totally outrageous, and most unbelievable.

Yep, they should wear clown outfits.

He voted for no witnesses. What’s the problem?

Closing arguments at former President Donald Trump’s second impeachment trial were expected to get underway Saturday morning — but Day 5 started instead with House impeachment manager Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) asking to subpoena records and call a witness sparking fierce debate with Trump defense lawyer Michael van der Venn.

House impeachment managers now want to call Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler as a witness.

At this stage of their takeover, Mitch’s Chinese masters apparently find the illusion of an opposition party still useful.

That may be more likely than my theory, which is the Dems double-crossed McConnell by calling for witnesses and in response he went public with his intended vote.

I hope Mitch doesn’t think this will save him.

The Turtle is 79 years old and just won another 6 year term.

At 85, mcconnell will be slobbering on his bib.

Actually no. I’m not sure why so many hate Mcconnell and graham. I can’t stand Romney and Mercowsky. Those two are the worst in the senate on the republican side. I only care about votes. Everything else is noise.

Mitch is voting to acquit in a false impeachment in a kangaroo court. Mitch already missed his opportunity to remove the false Republicrats who voted in support of impeachment.

He’s seen the polls. He knews its going to be bad enough for his fellow RINOs as it is in 2022. He doesn’t want to make it that much worse.

Good! Let this dog and pony show continue. The Democrats don’t have a case. They look bad for trying this, and it wastes time they could otherwise use passing some of their awful agenda.
