Had the Moderna vaccine injected on Thursday afternoon at Publix store by a pharmacist.
Injection site was sore for 24 hours. Now 48 hours later most pain and soreness has disappeared. No fever, no fainting spells, no racing heart, no other symptoms. Actually did my daily treadmill yesterday but avoided lifting weights. Today I intend to do both at the gym. I am 80 years old, in very good physical condition with no comorbidities.
My spouse also had the Moderna vaccine with me, and she also has very little soreness remaining at the injection site. She has stage-4 cancer and her cancer doctor highly recommended getting the vaccine.
An elderly couple we know got their second shots Wed - SICK AS DOGS - fever, chills, dizziness - Thurs - Fri (I told them to call the dr immediately) and still not 100% today.
Be forwarned. I pray you have different experiance!
Had mine yesterday. Publix chocolate fudge cake for me. Eating that makes me feel like I’m cheating on my wife...she hates it.
Not putting pressure on anyone. Each individual has to make their own choice. Personally I was not anxious to get the vaccine, but wife has cancer and needed it more. I went along for moral support.
Got mine at Publix, wife was same day, but at another store. My main issue was pain at the injection site, wife had the same along with a low grade fever overnight. No big issues yet and we are in our 70’s.
I had my second shot on the 19th. of last month. No problems. I’m still on two feet and breathing, praise God.
At the hospital I work in I was giving my personal info to the person at the desk and being a middle aged man I was asked, in all seriousness “Are you pregnant or nursing?’’
Boy did I give that woman a look.
Let me know when the 3rd arm starts growing....

Too early to conclude anything. Vaccine program is barely a month old.

If you have access to a Publix store, they make the kind of cheese cake I like. Rich but not too solid. Melts in the mouth.
Say what you want, but it’s nice knowing that you’re immune to this virus. It’s just one less thing to be worry about.

Just my personal opinion... that the best defense against any virus is keeping the body in great shape. If the heart and lungs are in good shape, it is easier for the body to fight off virus invasions which are ubiquitous. Since I began my daily exercise routine a few years back, have not even caught a cold. Could be just luck but I intend to keep exercising daily. It has gotten me off of blood pressure meds and no longer borderline diabetic.
