Not only is the city completely abandoned by ordinary Americans, but it feels like a military garrison, courtesy of 25,000 National Guard troops, police, and Secret Service posted at every intersection. Many of them are sleeping at my hotel and I couldn’t wish for better roommates.
But their frustration is obvious. These good men and women have left their homes, families and jobs to be here, but to what end? We can all see there is no threat to be faced. Fake news is relying on repeating their footage of the riot at Capitol Hill to perpetuate the myth that this is a city under siege to domestic terror.
D.C. now feels like one giant stage built entirely for a drama of the Democrats' own creation. I’d argue the troops are being used as bit-part actors, for crowd scenes and effect. If you wanted to create the illusion that the Trump administration turned America into a war zone, what better way than to make D.C. a green zone, build ramparts and blockades, and fill it with troops, trucks, and men with weapons?

Interesting conclusion to the article and perhaps the one thing that as a default libertarian gives me hope...
Her and the Biden voter from Texas both being able to hug while expressing their disappointment. I have a lot of friends and fam that vote dem. Many of them have told me flat out that they voted against Trump and don’t expect anything from Biden other than to not be Trump.
Maybe if enough progressives and conservatives get disappointed ENOUGH, some needed changes would be possible then.

Most of the women I have met in the Libertarian party started off as GOP types that got hung up on pro-life/pro-abortion.
Do not underestimate the under current of really conservative freedom loving women that will break progressive or libertarian over abortion. That issue got my Reagan voting mom to vote for the toon in 96 and dem since. Some personal history, family legend, and knowledge of one’s own fallible nature can get this political opinion wired really hard as a life and death issue.
I can forgive it, but this is not anything particularly new to me, just really bothersome.

But I'll give her a pass. So much corruption in the election it's not surprising to think it occurred in the wrong state, instead of the state it did happen in.
Do yourself a favor. Watch the main part of the inauguration again with the sound muted and pay close attention to Barack Obama. He didn’t look too good to me. I think he’s terrified.

I noticed it because a Christian prophet who said Trump would not only run but win two terms way back before Trump had even thought to run, also prophesied the impeachment attempts (multiple ).
The one thing he mentioned that made no sense to anyone ( he passed away shortly after Trump was elected) was that the US would have “ two presidents at one time”.
Even he didn’t understand that part.
But if Pedo was sworn in before the time Trump was due to be out, in my mind, for almost 12 minutes we had two presidents.
So I’m still hoping for some kind of God- powered miracle.
At this point, with all the other crazy stuff that went on, it’s not in the realm of impossible.

No, sorry, that’s way too passive. If there is a single thing that Donald Trump did for this country (and there are actually MANY), it is to instill in us a sense that WE have to control our destiny, or else those in power will make those decisions for us, and for their benefit (and against our interests). If we “let” things progress to their “natural conclusion,” that conclusion will bear a lot closer resemblance to the old Soviet Union than to “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.”

God gave us tools - eyes to see, ears to hear, a mouth to speak, a mind to remember and to reason, and a soul to understand basic justice and fairness. We HAVE to use those tools, to the best of our abilities, before God will even consider a request for a miracle. He expects more of us than a bunch of hairless apes sitting on a couch or seats in a house of worship, praying for Him to do everything for them. The splitting of the Sea of Reeds wasn’t done like you see it in “The Ten Commandments.” It was only done after one of the leaders of one of the tribes walked into the sea up to his neck - THEN, in His infinite mercy, God granted a miracle and split the sea; even then, the Israelites had to walk through on their own, quickly, to escape the Egyptians and be out in time for the sea to close up again.
Besides, there is no Q, there is no “plan” to trust, General Flynn is not going to lead loyal elements of the armed forces to get rid of Biden and return the rightful President, Donald J. Trump, to the Presidency that was stolen from him (and us); that’s right up there with flocks of flying unicorns covering the ground with Skittles that they crap out. Nope - come back down to Earth, to reality, and deal with it as best you can.
