Despite leaving the EU, London may be source its next main battle tank from France and Germany.
According to industry reports, the United Kingdom may be interested in the jointly developed Franco-German Eurotank project to replace their aging Challenger 2 main battle tank, which though not a particularly aged tank, will eventually need replacement.

The design of a tank should be matched to its most significant intended roles in a country’s security strategy. This may prove difficult here in that Britain is likely to want their tank to be capable of peer to peer combat on extended deployment, while France and Germany have a need for armor that can be used in urban combat against internal Islamic subversives.
Does it run on unicorn farts?
Do the tanks come equipped with enough cash to pay the congestion charges in large cities?

Why tanks? There will never be a general war—who will they fight? Russia? No they can’t offer much in resistance, China? too far away. All wars will be asymmetrical Guerilla wars with Drones, robots, and armored cars. Bio wars too—Heck China won with her CV-19 and a complement media (bought off). She will use her Germ War next on India and South Korea. A new virus and they will rule the world though the western inspired UN.
The Eurotank—most heavily armoured from the rear.

However, I just cannot imagine an army without tanks...
British tank units...They were used in WW2, Korean War, and Gulf War...
