President Trump tweeted Friday morning that he will not be attending the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden.
“To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th,” the president wrote.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Trump vowed that there would be an “orderly transition” of power on the day that Biden’s inauguration and swearing-in ceremony will take place.
“Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th,” the statement read.
Despite promising an orderly transition, the President said he would continue his fight against election fraud.

Reports surfaced in November that officials involved in the planning of Biden’s inauguration were concerned his supporters won’t show and they’ll be “left with a mass gathering of Trump supporters in their place.”
Imagine if something like that happened now.

In 1973 there was a massive same-day “Counter Inaugural” demonstration in DC. Dozens of thousands of protesters showed up. Police kept both groups separate and violence was minimal.
I think it’s a fine idea.

80 Democrats refused to attend Nixon’s 1973 inauguration. They had reasons, mostly because they hated Nixon since the Alger Hiss case.
70 Democrats refused to attend Trump’s 2017 inauguration. They had reasons, mostly because they believed without evidence that Russia conspired with Trump to subvert the election.
Trump plans to skip Biden’s inauguration, mostly because of the overwhelming video evidence, affidavits, bizarre last-minute rule changes, flood of mystery mail-in ballots, lack of voter validation, and obvious shenanigans that resulted in the outcome.
And NOW the Democrats suddenly decided that refusing to attend an inauguration is wrong?
If he did attend it, you know that thousands of Americans would be there as well. Just to see President Trump and his lovely wife.

What would be better is for thousands of people to by one share of stock in each company. Then have a couple of well-spoken brave souls put an issue to stop the censorship up for a vote at the annual meeting, with a few hundred supporters who go there early to get seats in the room to cheer them on. And keep showing up year after year ... Think of a Charleton Heston moment - when he showed up at SONY-MGM (?) annual meeting that one year and asked them were they proud to go home to their families and talk about their filth they were selling.
