I believe it is better to change from GOP to Independent.

Or Libertarian, they hate the 2-3% Libertarian voters get as it's usually the margin of their loss.

>>>And, how, exactly, does one “quit” the GOP? Especially in states that have open primaries so don’t require party affiliation?<<<

After watergate the republicans lost the next election in a landslide and became irrelevant. They had a net loss of 49 house seats and 4 in the US Senate.

So let me think of how Trump got 12 million more votes in 2020 than 2016. A lot of people who normally don’t vote came out! They didn’t come out for guys like Mitt Romney or Loeffler. The sure as hell didn’t come out for people that talk a good game like Rand Paul, but then give the same lame talking points about the violence on capitol hill as did Mitch McConnell.

Trump’s energized base is going to sit home in 2022 if there is no alternative. And then the republicans will wake up going what the hell? And they will sit home. Because worse than the not energizing the voters that rarely vote, the republicans gave the middle finger to Trump voters than do vote and care about things like integrity. Things like the rule of law. If elections are to be stolen why vote? If the establishment republicans insult you by talking one way and voting the other why bother?

This is how you QUIT the GOP. Hopefully there will be a good alternative. But either way I think the GOP just fkd themselves hard in 2022. And they can’t undo it without apologizing for what they did to Trump. And with all this globull warming, I don’t see hell freezing over.

The way our political system is set up, there is a strong bias for having only 2 major political parties.

I need to review the history of the Whig Party. The Whig Party dissolved and was replaced as a major party by the Republicans. The Republican party was never a 3rd party as such, instead, it became a 2nd major party as the Whigs went away.

I wonder if that could happen today, that a new party could start now, and be a truly competitive 2nd party by the 2024 election cycle.

[[Put your personal feelings aside and support this man, because he’s all we’ve got right now.]]

That’s why i was hoping He lead the movement if he’s inclined to- I’ve always felt he did a tremendous amount of good for this country- that the msm just either ignored or criticized every step of the way- I felt he was a selfless man who loved this country, and tried his level best to make America Great again by doing all the things he did- He even got record numbers of minorities and even women, who everyone said would hate him, pulling for him. but whatever one feels about Him, he is able to rally people to a cause-

Thanks for the advice- we should all just give up then?

We won’t want people like you in the new party.

the GOP-e is a dead dodo in politics, having committed suicide this week in selling out our country to the obvious Election Theft by those that control the DemoCommieNazi party machinery.

as far as I am concerned (and I do respect President Trump), the issue is not PDJT. The issue is that we have been sold out, we no longer have any semblance of representative governance where the citizens have anything to say anymore.
It is tragic, but it is not unprecedented. similar happened to the German Weimar and for that matter the Roman Republic.

No do not join any other party just unregister and drop the GOP. Concentrate on state nullification, convention of states, etc. There is zero point in voting in fake third world national elections no matter what party is involved.

Agreed don’t stop voting just leave the party then let them wonder why their small donations and voter turnout numbers are abysmal

You mean the media are going to lie about us? Wow, how unusual...

I guess you should just stick with the RINO party and then the media won’t lie about us.

And I still believe in the coming months, he will be more and more vindicated, as the media BS eventually gets exposed, as it always has been in the past.

The next few months will suck, no doubt, but I’m also confident, that the Rats will overplay their hand, as usual.

You will simply get rid of all of us by starting up a third party and dividing the vote.

did it years ago already.

Makes no difference if you quit or not. You're either helping socialism or helping socialism at a slower rate. It's only a matter of speed.

So now I’m independent.

unaffiliated. Many in NY register in the Independence party thinking that is Independent.

But it wont get rid of the deeply embedded leaders like McConnell.

Mitch McConnell, Lindsay-girl, and etc. need to all GO NOW.

Only a new party with 70 million new members can put every single one of them out of office now.

Imagine in 2 years every single current GOP office holder is gone!
