>>>And, how, exactly, does one “quit” the GOP? Especially in states that have open primaries so don’t require party affiliation?<<<

After watergate the republicans lost the next election in a landslide and became irrelevant. They had a net loss of 49 house seats and 4 in the US Senate.

So let me think of how Trump got 12 million more votes in 2020 than 2016. A lot of people who normally don’t vote came out! They didn’t come out for guys like Mitt Romney or Loeffler. The sure as hell didn’t come out for people that talk a good game like Rand Paul, but then give the same lame talking points about the violence on capitol hill as did Mitch McConnell.

Trump’s energized base is going to sit home in 2022 if there is no alternative. And then the republicans will wake up going what the hell? And they will sit home. Because worse than the not energizing the voters that rarely vote, the republicans gave the middle finger to Trump voters than do vote and care about things like integrity. Things like the rule of law. If elections are to be stolen why vote? If the establishment republicans insult you by talking one way and voting the other why bother?

This is how you QUIT the GOP. Hopefully there will be a good alternative. But either way I think the GOP just fkd themselves hard in 2022. And they can’t undo it without apologizing for what they did to Trump. And with all this globull warming, I don’t see hell freezing over.

Point of order:

Trump got 12 million more ACKNOWLEDGED votes. Now count the ones he got that were switched to Gropey Joe and I firmly believe Trump got 85-90 million real votes.

It was a blowout of epic proportions. Stolen.

Just my opinion.
