What the Lockdown Leviathans Don’t Get
American Greatness ^ | December 24, 2020 | Tal Bachman

....Don’t like it? Don’t worry, said the experts: If you’re feeling a mite lonely after nine months of house arrest in Papillon-like solitary confinement, just throw a rollicking Christmas “social” event in which you stare, all alone, at a computer screen on a Zoom call, as the most ruthless, repressive, imperialist regime on earth monitors everything you say, and then instantly disables your account if you dare to criticize it. (Soon, no doubt, it won’t only be the Chinese government doing the monitoring and disabling, but our own—supposing it hasn’t merged with the CCP by then).

House arrest for nine months, careers and dreams imploding all around you, relieved only by the odd Zoom call, isn’t exactly my idea of fun—or anyone else’s. Yet you’d never guess that listening to anyone with political power this year (aside from the few remaining non-useless Republicans).

For months, these strange, power-mad robots have evinced zero indication they have any clue what it might feel like to be an actual human (with mouths to feed) suddenly placed under house arrest, forbidden from earning a living, stopped from pursuing activities which support his sense of identity, cut off from most (or all) social contact, fed reams of misinformation he knows is misinformation, and severed from a huge source of meaning in human life—namely, culture.

I’m not here arguing against the measures themselves (I will some other time). I am pointing out the inhuman indifference shown by the Lockdown Leviathans to the psychological, emotional, spiritual, and familial costs those measures have imposed, and continue to impose, upon their suffering subjects.

There is simply no sign they care....

Good for you. Good luck. Bring back up.

If you don’t want to out yourself as the source of the video, and I don’t blame you, find some independent reporter to send it to.

You will be doing a lot of people a favor.

WRONG, most Anons believe that there is a group of compromised people in all manner of control. The source of the comp could be money, pedo, or other “strange” beliefs or ways that they can be or are manipulated.

However, most shills keep posting the same mantra.

I just watched a video on Rumble. A California restaurant owner blocked in a health inspector reasoning that if the restaurant owner can’t work, neither can the health inspector.

The Health department told him that people couldn’t eat food outdoors on city owned benches.

The cops stupidly said “we all have jobs to do.” The restaurant owner said he and his people wanted to work.

Absolutely unforgivable.

We should start up a 501c charitable organization to help the homeless out of work due to COVID lockdowns protest at governor’s mansions and their state capitals.

I know one person that died from an overdose due to being depressed by the lock down.

I had a cousin in Ohio that NEEDED kidney dialysis and had other health concerns too. They were convinced he had covid and that is what his death was labeled as. He really died from them refusing to do dialysis.

Most of the idiot watermelon marxists want to save the Earth and with remorse they will put us all in the ground to be faithful to their godless religion.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

A space alien visiting America for a few weeks this holiday season would never imagine that America had something called a “Constitution,” and that it sets limits on how governments, state or federal, may treat citizens. He’d be shocked to learn otherwise.

The formerly Wannabee totalitarian politicians of this country have achieved their most desired wish.

They have instituted an oligarchy through a State of Emergency where none exist but that can be sustained indefinitely with a compliant Press.

The COVID will go on and on as long as the people can be convinced that it is still a threat.

With our mal-educated populace that can be a long time.

If the people become suspicious another bio-threat can be fabricated out of nothing like this one was.

a large percentage of the population has been persuaded that this slightly above average flu is a deadly threat. It won’t take much to convince them that some other disease is an equally or more threatening disease.

That’s true. But they don’t want to believe.
Show them truth, and they’ll accept it.

"At a bare minimum, no government employees should get a paycheck when lockdown is in effect."

In Singapore, one of the most successful countries in the world, the pay of senior government office holders and bureaucrats is pegged to the pay in the private sector. If private incomes go up then so does the pay of those in government. Conversely, if there is an economic contraction and private salaries go down then so does that of those in government. The public sector weasel bureaucrats therefore have 'skin in the game'.

"To justify the government's practice of matching public sector salaries with private sector salaries, a White Paper on “Competitive Salaries for Competent and Honest Government” was presented to Parliament on 21 October 1994 to justify the pegging of the salaries of ministers and senior civil servants to the average salaries of the top four earners in the six private sector professions of accounting, banking, engineering, law, local manufacturing companies and MNCs. The adoption of the long-term formula suggested in the White Paper removed the need to justify the salaries of ministers and senior civil servants “from scratch with each salary revision”, and also ensured the building of “an efficient public service and a competent and honest political leadership, which have been vital for Singapore's prosperity and success” (Republic of Singapore, 1994, pp. 7-12, 18).

In December 2007, the Public Service Division (PSD) announced that the salaries of ministers and senior civil servants would be increased from 4 to 21 per cent from January 2008. On 24 November 2008, the PSD indicated that their salaries would be decreased by 19 per cent in 2009 because of the economic recession. Consequently, the president's annual salary was reduced from S$3.87m to S$3.14m and the prime minister's annual salary was also reduced from S$3.76m to S$3.04m from 2008 to 2009 (Quah, 2010, p. 116). However, the economy recovered in 2010 and the salaries of ministers and senior civil servants were revised upwards. Even though the PAP won 81 of the 87 parliamentary seats in the May 2011 general election, the percentage of votes captured declined to 60.1 from 66.6 per cent in the May 2006 general election.

There’s a few of the false god letter worshippers left here and those dead enders are determined to disrupt anyone who says they are wrong for the 1,000th time.

They are hoping that President Trump can prevail and then they will hastily unite to announce it is due to their letter god.

Yes, they are utterly stupid and that demented.

I’m sure Gretchen Whitmer’s mighty chin approves of that. I hope they get the help that they need.

Plus, when there’s hardly anybody coming to your house, and you’re not going much of anywhere or doing much of anything with much of anyone else, there isn’t relief. Your demons take the opportunity to come waltzing right in.

I’ve just started properly dealing with mine.

The owner should have locked him in for a week to see if the inspector was capable of preparing his own meals with the ingredients in the kitchen.

If the govt shuts down your business they should reimburse you for the value of the business. Otherwise, it is an unlawful taking of property.

They will say they cant afford it. Then it will be their turn to decide which govt services are nonessential.

Hoping to see a class action lawsuit in their future.

When there is a govt shutdown quite a few govt employees are sent home as nonessential. Lets use that as a guideline.
