What neither Collins nor CNN nor anyone else in the left wing media will do is ask Joe Biden a complex or deep question.
Because they know he can't handle it. It is a recognition of Biden's obvious cognitive deficit.
Biden gave a "speech" the other day and flubbed it, twice referring to the Psalms as "Palmists" despite reading it on the teleprompter.

The president-elect went after CBS News’ Bo Erickson for pressing him on how he plans to get teachers to return to school during the coronavirus outbreak, the Daily Mail reported.
“Mr. Biden, the COVID task force said it’s safe for children to be back in class,” Erickson asked Friday. He follows up by asking Biden whether he will push teacher unions to back him in efforts to get their members back to the classroom.
The president-elect has the support of the unions, which generally oppose a return to in-person instruction because of the risk of infection.
Biden didn’t respond, then commented icily to Erickson: “Why are you the only guy that always shouts out questions?”

Yet, for the public and press corp, the appearance of a reporter asking an actual substantive question of Biden was like watching Big Foot riding the Lock Ness Monster through conference room. The only evidence that it was real and not a mirage was Biden’s swift rebuke.
It is the type of question that you would expect the president-elect to answer when he is holding forth on his plan for dealing with Covid-19. Biden however again attacked Erickson personally for breaking the unwritten rule against substantive questions: “Why are you the only guy that always shouts out questions?”
That question sums up the situation perfectly. We should all want to know why Erickson is the only guy (other than Peter Doocy) who is asking such questions. Most of the media was openly in the bag for Biden during the campaign. The hope however was that, once he was elected, the media would rediscover a modicum of independence and integrity in their approach to Biden. That will not happen so long as Biden can accurately ask why the Erickson is “the only guy” asking questions.
The left wing press not only won’t ruffle Biden’s mental feathers, they will protect them. Biden is their guy, no matter how much damage he would do to the country. They’re invested in him.
This is like watching Maduro’s press in Venezuela or Pravda in Russia. CBS, MSNBC, ABC, CNN are state media.
They know that Biden is a doddering old cognitively impaired man and his possible Presidency is truly a danger to this country- a genuine national security risk. He is not capable of carrying out the duties required, which brings up a giant question-
