President Donald Trump’s legal team distanced themselves from attorney Sidney Powell on Sunday evening, noting that she did not represent the president, either as part of the team or in his personal capacity.
In a statement attributed to Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani, and Trump legal adviser Jenna Ellis, the team said: “Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own. She is not a member of the Trump Legal Team. She is also not a lawyer for the President in his personal capacity.”
Gen. Michael Flynn, a former Trump administration official, said lawyer Sidney Powell is “staying the course” and will prove election fraud after the president’s legal team said she is not working for the campaign on Sunday night.
Powell, who represented Flynn in his legal case, “has been suspended from Twitter for 12 hours,” he wrote on Twitter after former New York Mayor and campaign attorney Rudy Giuliani made the statement about her status.
“She understands the WH press release & agrees with it,” Flynn said. “She is staying the course to prove the massive deliberate election fraud that robbed #WeThePeople of our votes for President Trump & other Republican candidates.”
Powell herself responded by releasing a statement saying that she will continue to represent the “#WeThePeople” — and adding at the end of her statement the hashtag “#KrakenOnSteroids.”
Powell appeared undeterred after the Trump Legal Team distanced themselves from her, while pledging to continue fighting against what she alleges of widespread voter fraud occurring during the 2020 election due to the vote-counting machines. Powell has so far failed to provide any evidence backing her claims.
“I understand today’s press release,” Powell told CBS News. “I will continue to represent #WeThePeople who had their votes for Trump and other Republicans stolen by massive fraud through Dominion and Smartmatic, and we will be filing suit soon. The chips will fall where they may, and we will defend the foundations of this great Republic. #KrakenOnSteroids” Image below:
While it is not clear why Powell’s account was reportedly suspended, a number of Powell’s recent tweets have gotten tagged with Twitter’s warning label, “This claim about election fraud is disputed,” which the social media company has previously used to suspend or ban accounts for repeated violations.
Lin Wood also tweeted: Sidney Powel & I are more alike than we are different.
We are fighting different legal battles for the same clients – We The People.
The People voted overwhelmingly to re-elect President Trump.
All interests are aligned.

Same here. And yes, bank on it that some aspects within the GOP don’t want their part in all of this uncovered.
These are probably the same ones who get along uncomfortably well with the Left and do not particularly care for Trump’s attempts to drain the swamp.
Proof is in the pudding, only way to proof this case is Computer forensics and so far nothing the Trump team has filed offered anything like that...
The majority of people in America do not understand Sidney is a separate entity from the President’s legal team. Her co-mingling with Trump lawyers has already damaged her public position with her deliberate public notice of separation.... but in reality she has to be separated from Trump’s legal team so that she can bring the full weight of the federal government to bear when she lowers the boom.
You are engaging is speculative, loony fantasy.
The legal team is focused on challenging Democratic chicanery and overturning the rampant ballot-stuffing, not following every weird conspiracy theory down rabbit holes. Powell may have bene entertaining for cable news, but was ultimately too distracting to the team’s legal goals.
