"Not going to happen."

Sadly I believe you are 100% correct.

As I look about our once great Republic I am, unfortunately, accepting the fact there are more people out there that don't share the same values as I than there are of those who do.

I look at those who would steal power simply for powers sake, not caring if they do irreparable harm to the Republic. It is unfathomable.

I have sat here for over two weeks now kind of in a funk. I have been looking for the best description that I, at my advanced age 74, could describe the feeling.

I have!

It is BETRAYED!!!

This is extremely general. There are clearly different levels of "American Left" Example Alan Dershowitz showing Trumps path to victory. If you said antifa or Democrat leadership or something this would make more sense.

Our ancestors blamed it on King George. The Kings soldiers where the kings soldiers that they wouldn’t allow in their homes as an example. They didn’t blame it on all British soldiers though they where the ones they had to fight

Many times it’s the misguided employer who becomes more oppressive than the government. Of course, the government takes the reins after the companies softens up those they employ.

I want to make an honest suggestion to all FReepers: Research and then join the 3Percenters Original. Formed in 1776, still running, the original Minutemen.

I’m in the process of joining. It takes months. It costs nothing.

Our nation needs Patriots.

As they govern by our consent, their theft of the election violates the agreement we had with them. We, the people, rule this country and can withdraw consent at any time of our choosing. It is long past time, IMHO.

We must all stand together, and bear the costs of losing our liberty, our property, and even our lives, for surely under the form of governance they are planning, we will surely lose these inalienable rights, piecemeal. We all stand together, or we will all hang in concentration camps.

Powering off your cellphone will not work at denying the government the ability to track you via cell phone. Even if you pull the battery, their is a small battery on the motherboard that chirps gps information every so often. They can turn on your microphone and camera, remotely, and to you, it appears that your phone is powered down.

Aside from smashing your cell phone with a hammer, there is one method that will work to deny them the access to your location information, but attention to detail is essential. You must wrap your cell phone in aluminum foil, paying close attention to the seams. I double wrap mine, when I don’t want them to know where I am. I have nefarious intentions, other than to make it difficult for the gov’t to spy on me.

Not only is Alexa listening to your conversations, but so are those voice activated remote controls, like X-Finity has. Speakers can be co-opted to act as microphones as well. No encryption can stop them, if they devote the resources to cracking your encryption.

There was a caller to Rush today. He said he is a Democrat but he did not like most of the current Democrat party policies. He watched the impeachment waiting for them to spring evidence proving President Trump’s guilt and when there was no evidence he was disappointed. He listed a number of other things about why he disagreed with the Democrat Party.

And then he said he VOTED for Democrats!

Rank and file Democrats see their leaders for what they are and they don’t care.

The British soldiers didn't want to kill civilians during the American revolution they where ordered to by the king and they followed orders. The left follow their leaders. The leadership is the problem not every day leftist. The focus should be the root of the problem

It is beyond sad to see what this once great country has devolved to; it is disgusting. Worse still is the ease with which we have become a nation of sheep, eager to satisfy our power-mad rulers.

One would think that, at some point, people would rebel. Yet, we have become slaves to our creature comforts, even when they are used against us. Free speech is censored, yet we keep using Facebook, Twitter, Google and our cellphones. Elections are beyond fraudulent, yet we still believe in honest elections. Judges consistently ignore law and punish this who obey and enforce the law.

Will we ever open the fourth box? Beyond hunting, I doubt it. We just don’t have it in us anymore. What a shame.

Yes, I surmised there’s something for backup (just to keep some memory alive for awhile - unless it’s a flash memory). I always assumed it’s some sort of capacitor-type component but a small rechargeable battery makes sense too.

[gps]

Attempts to ping cell tower(s) for possible triangulation or simply GPS? On a more expensive phone (I have a cheap one) it wouldn’t surprise me for GPS either.

Yes, the remote camera and mic thing I knew about. That’s why I also refer to them as tracking devices. No Alexa for me.

I’ve read that you cannot trust some home security systems as they may have backdoors, too. /shiny side out

Yes! One day we will explode and there will be tremendous typing! Pages and pages! :-)

Until we are shut down for some ridiculous reason. Then we won’t even be able to connect with each other

Wish it weren’t true. But what was once good and normal (like immediately arresting looters and arsonists and putting them into prison, along with their leaders) seems out the window and madness is now tolerated and applauded (by some).

Unreal.

The Time has com for all good men to come to the aid of their Country. The liberties of a people never were, nor ever will be, secure, when the transactions of their rulers may be concealed from them. Patrick Henry and I agree. Stop the lies and cowardice. Stand up for Your God given Rights.
