That’s what I call them. Because that’s what they are. Unfortunately.
Helps in crime cases, but often, it’s way too late and after the fact when the triangulation is resolved.
Cell phones makes Crime investigators LAZY....
Wanna frame someone for a crime, steal their cell phone without them noticing, take it along with you on the crime, then return it.
The cops will put the almighty cell phone record as “Proof” despite any other evidence...
This is why you should always be aware where your cell phone is.
Actually that was pretty much spot-on from the KJV.
The NKJV shows it a slightly different way. Note the last part, too:

I think it was on Stossel where he powered off his phone and pulled the battery. Then he went on a little “trip” around town for a few hours as a test. Later he was able to download a printout of every place he had been, for how long, if he had walked. One entry said something like it appeared that he had exited the car at a certain museum. (He had.) It was creepy.

Have you seen videos where hacker have hacked into people’s homes via security systems, nanny cams, and baby monitors? In one where a kid was playing in a room, the guy at the other end was giving her instructions on things to do.

I don’t own a cell phone; never needed one in the past, and don’t need one now.
With the exception of my new truck (which I am sure they CAN track), I don’t have any modern communications gear that can go with me when I’m traveling.
The closest I get to modern technology is this desk top computer, and its sitting in the same place it was 12 years ago.
Get that old CB down from the dusty shelf in the garage and be sure it still works.

But you still have to manage to bypass the original picture sent to ‘aunt’ Suzzy and the coded one sent to ‘uncle’ Jim from being snatched off of the web and processed by; oh, somebody who is REALLY curious about these kinds of things.
