There are way too many instances of Democrat/media hypocrisy on the issue of wearing masks and social distancing during the Wuhan virus pandemic to list here, so I’ll just reference a few of them before we get started on Chris Hayes.
There has been the repeated mask hypocrisy of CNN resident tough guy Chris Cuomo, starting all the way back in April and continuing up until at least August, if not later. There was House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s maskless visit to a San Francisco hair salon on the same day she lectured President Trump and other Republicans for not wearing masks and not social distancing at the RNC.
Then there has been the Grand Poobah of it all when it comes to Democratic hypocrisy on following CDC guidelines: Chris Cuomo’s big brother NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo who, among other things, went on a “victory tour” of sorts over the summer and visited Georgia – where he treated his own mask-wearing as, ahem, optional. There are many more examples where that came from as well.
MSNBC’s “All In” host Chris Hayes is another on the list who has one set of rules for everyone else, and one for him and his fellow Democrats. As my RedState colleague Bonchie reported over the weekend, Hayes apparently forgot his previous declarations about how we must be extra safe because COVID is not going away, Trump has failed us on the Wuhan virus, etc etc, to encourage Democrats to take to the streets for dance parties to celebrate the Biden-Harris campaign’s alleged “victory.”
While Hayes did encourage parties to “wear masks”, previous experience at covering these types of Democrat-led events should have provided a few clues to him that not everyone would.
Fast forward just a few days later, and now Hayes is back to being super-worried about the virus. So worried, in fact, that he’s all but demanding a national mandate from the president he has previously labeled a “dictator” to make all Thanksgivings “virtual” this year:
Right now, if we had a administration that cared one whit about protecting Americans there would be national coordinated messaging all over the place about making Thanksgiving virtual this year (or outdoors where weather permits)! Yeah … no. Not only is the mandate/messaging from the White House not happening on this, but considering all the phony sanctimony from leftists like Hayes this year where they lecture one group but give the other a pass, it’s a pretty safe bet to say that the only people who are taking him seriously on this are the people who will hold their own massive gatherings in private while virtue signaling in public about the “need” to limit get-togethers:

Related to all of this, apparently, Chris’ plea for Democrat street parties to wear masks went largely unheeded:

New Yorker Karol Markowicz, who has had it up to HERE with her state’s governor’s double standards on keeping yourself and your family safe in the middle of the coronavirus outbreak, had some great advice:

You could also tell them you’re holding a “peaceful protest” at your home. I mean if such excuses work for Democrats like Chris Hayes, they should work for everyone else, too

Finally, NY’ers telling em: “come back with a warrant”.
People are beyond tired of this. I’ve noticed even some of the left people I work with talking about mask fatigue, ineffectiveness, etc.
A lot bought the narrative early on but this is beyond ridiculous at this point. If you don’t feel comfortable around larger groups (family) due to Wuhan Flu, for whatever reason, do what’s in your best interest.
Don’t force others to do so.
Oh boy, we get to enjoy a virtual turkey while wearing our masks!!!!

I’d bet that not one of the left elites are going to cancel their Thanksgiving celebrations.

It’s clear that masks, distancing, lockdowns and all that other crap is “stopping the spread of the virus” ... so why the mandates to continue to do so? Arseholes!
I’ll have his share of the mashed potatoes.
(If you're using "zoom" to bring your "guests" together for the virtual festive occasion, just make sure they all put their pants on, and that they keep their hands where everybody can see them!)
Why can’t Thanksgiving celebrants get the same magic bubble protecting them from COVID that protestors and rioters get?
...and Chris should breathe virtual oxygen.
Well than, Chrissy, if you’re going to lecture the rest of us on the health benefits of “virtual” reality, then it’s only fair that you instruct your favorite “boys” that it’s virtual B-Js from now on.
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
... but the media can prohibit the right to peaceably assemble.
Please note - there is no prohibition to unpeaceable assembling (for democrats and marxists).
I was saddened to find the new COVID restrictions limited our family gathering to 6 persons.
Now - EVERYBODY comes to my house, including skinny aunt Sally.
Alas, you know what they say:
Adapt, Improvise, etc.
Funeral guidelines are more generous - 20 persons.
So there will be no Thanksgiving this year.
Instead I am having a funeral for my pet turkey.
How many people will you have attending the funeral of your turkey? (Just asking)
Actually we’re having new spikes of covid in many areas.
So governors, mayors, etc. are doubling down on “public health” measures. And the media-anointed “president elect” says “Wear a mask!!!!”
Oh, will I LOVE to see the election steal overthrown, and demented biden sent back to his basement!!! And remember—vaccines to END the pandemic are on their way—thanks to our REAL President, Donald J Trump!!!!
