Could Trump Flip California? Together, We Could Achieve The Impossible

*Guest writer Lily Finn is a Los Angeles native and mother of three. She enjoys writing on mom life, wife life, and always seeking the truth.

Over the last four years and as we’ve approached this year’s fiery election season, the so-called silent majority — the one that elected Trump in 2016 — has only grown larger. And less silent. I know this because I am one of them. And I live in California, where the big question is — in the most divisive and uncertain election in decades — can the Trump train actually cross the border into this most leftist of states? If the recent uptick in MAGA-love popping up in areas notoriously drenched in blue is any indication, we just may be in for something a little different next Tuesday.

If you’ve been paying attention, you’ve seen it. Trump rallies and boat parades have been lining the streets of the rich and famous here in Southern California for months – Beverly Hills, Sherman Oaks, Marina del Rey, and Newport Beach (to name a few), have seen no shortage of MAGA hats and Trump flags flying high, bringing unity between people of all colors, creeds and walks of life seeking to save the future of our beautiful state and country.

But on the morning of October 6, a group of men took this effort to a whole new level. Atop a hillside along the ever-busy 405 freeway in the heart of West Los Angeles, they erected five 20’ tall letters, literally putting TRUMP in the backyard of California’s most progressive and elite. It was a sight that would make any true blue California democrat shake in their boots but spoke loudly to those who have no voice in the “one party state”. It was covered extensively in the local and national press with news footage garnering millions of views on Twitter.

Wow. The group that installed that 405 freeway TRUMP sign has come forward with a pro-Trump campaign video and IT IS 🔥. Could @realDonaldTrump flip California? pic.twitter.com/qrTEN3z0jX

— Kira (@RealKiraDavis) October 30, 2020

According to group insider “Mr. Black”:

“The sign served two purposes. It was a psychological warfare operation designed to counter the psychological warfare that Newsom, Garcetti and the Democrat-run California government has been running since the lockdown. Putting the word “TRUMP” on a hillside over the 405 — itself a symbol of beauty, aggravation and dysfunction — was intended to let the progressive elite of Los Angeles know that dissidents — MOTIVATED dissidents — live among them.”

He goes on to say:

“It was also a signal to the war-weary AMERICANS here behind enemy lines that they are not alone. That they are on the side of fun and energy. And that they should GO OUT AND VOTE (for Trump, if that wasn’t clear).”

Never in my lifetime have I seen the likes of this in Southern California – the state in which I was born and raised. In California, people assume you are part of the liberal hive-mind. And if you’re not, you surely are not loud about it.

But there is something new in the air. If you were to ask four years ago if Trump would win California, that question would be so outrageous it would hardly deserve a reply. But this year, this moment in time, is too important to let passively pass us by. And it seems that California is finally starting to understand that.

People are speaking up against the blatant intolerance and violence of the California Left and shoving their faces in the reality that there is an America-loving faction among them. We, the people of Red California, are finally showing power in our numbers. And one-by one we are awakening those curious enough to ask “why.”

So, can Trump win California?

In a state that glimmers with possibility and success – home to Hollywood, Disneyland, gorgeous coastlines, vast farmland, and skyscrapers and forests alike; in a state who’s history is rooted in gold, sunshine and an abundance of dreams, it should come as no surprise that those dreamers, those seeking to revitalize the happiness and prosperity this state has always promised, have set their sights on achieving the “impossible” once again. And as Trump, himself, has said, we should “treat the word IMPOSSIBLE as nothing more than MOTIVATION.”

If a small team of men can send an “impossible” message to the heart of leftist Los Angeles, imagine what an army of them can do with a simple vote. If you are as motivated by this as I am, if you are a proud California native who wants to see this state return to what it once was, if you’re an out-of-stater shocked by the discrepancy between the promise and the ugly reality of modern California, I pray you garner everything you’ve got to get out and vote. Together, we can achieve the impossible. I’m sure of it.

The ONLY “Republicans carry California in modern day presidential election” scenario I can imagine would be an “era of good feelings” type election where a sitting GOP president is defaced UNOPPOSED in his re-election bid. And even if that happened, a bunch of disgruntled RATS in CA would cast token protest votes for unpledged RAT electors and invalid write-in votes for RATS not on the ballot.

"No. But a good Republican turnout could flip several House seats back to the GOP."

^^^^^^^ This.

Trump got 31% (<..........) of the final Cali Fraud total last time. I doubt he makes it to 40%.

Bob Dole put a lot of effort into CA, it was a waste of time then, though an understandable one. Now? CA is in MA territory in terms of statewide elections. It might be THE worst state actually, plenty of "blue" voters in MA or MD might vote for a RINO Governor but in CA they are just overwhelmed, and now with the mail ballots.

People outside the poop zones need to start getting serious about seceding. And they'll have to do BLM style street riots to even have a chance, the left will never LET them leave.

Trump will outperform his 16 numbers everywhere... in some places vastly outperform them.. but while I like the enthusiasm, I don’t see CA or NY or any of the deep blue urban states flipping.

We will see

To the naysayers, five years ago everyone laughed at Trump announcing his presidential aspirations. BTW, there were more votes for Trump in California than any other state in the country. 2/3 of the counties are red. Regardless of whether he takes CA on Tuesday, he is turning CA red.

Nope, but we are going to grab the 6 House seats that the Dems stole from us in 2018 back, in part because we are doing every bit as much ballot harvesting as they are and even more
After ballot harvesting is now legal in California.

Sorry, but it’s a pipe dream. It’s like being a Christian under the rule of Nero...you stay underground unless the guy you just met uses his foot to draw a arc on the ground, and then you draw another arc to make the “Christian fishy” that is on the back of some car bumpers now.

I don’t tell anyone that I support Trump unless I want to lose friends, but if you listen really carefully to coded talk, you can find the 37% who do support Trump,

“Could Trump Flip California?”

No. He should be backing Congressional candidates out there, but to waste precious resources trying to flip a D+20 state is folly.

one “trump card” was played by Newsom against the Dems. That is he Banned Halloween which is LOVED by the left. This could get more out to vote.

He lost California in 2016 by 4.3 million votes and 30 percentage points. Realistically what are the chances of Trump flipping that?

Yes, I saw that. Nevertheless, Californians would elect Satan or a ham sandwich before they would re-elect Trump.

About the chance of a snowball in a microwave oven.

If were voting was done legitimately in California (and other blue states as well), a conversion to Red might be possible.

But with the laws in place that allow for vast voter fraud, including “legally” giving illegal aliens the ability to vote, California is probably forever lost.

Too many of the people that are needed to reverse the trends in California are giving up and moving out of the state.

Consider: Except for Texas which he won, Trump received more votes in California (4.5 million vs. 4.7 million in Texas) than in any other state in 2016.

He'll receive even more votes this time but that 30-mile-wide strip along the coast is so heavily populated with America-/American-hating Democrats/Leftists/Communists (Clinton received double Trump's count in 2016), and considering that the Republican Party has been effectively neutralized -- if not essentially outlawed by the State -- it is highly unlikely that Trump will prevail even though he is up against a criminal enterprise (i.e., Traitor Joe's The Biden Crime Family).
