he U.S. Department of Justice on Wednesday increased the size of an inquiry which could reveal if the state is lowballing the number of COVID-19 fatalities among New York nursing home residents.
The Associated Press reported that the DOJ is calling for information from hundreds of private facilities.
The news outlet said that the DOJ letter requested a breakout of hospital fatalities that the health department has not shared publicly, and expands to over 600 facilities a similar request from earlier this year targeting a much smaller number of public facilities....

My hope is that it is just a case of this particular investigation being public and others being on the down low.
(I'm not saying that Cuomo shouldn't be investigated.)
Perhaps they’ll find Cuomo’s executive order that put the elders in these homes. That EO seems to have vanished.
Hmm. Why is the DOJ investigating this and not Biden taking bribes from China?
The are extremely busy looking for Russians. Theres only so much that they can do. More funding is needed.
DOJ likes to launch investigations, that doesn’t mean that they actually investigate and issue indictments.
Typical launching of endless investigations to nowhere. The records are easily available and the mass murder undeniable. I think a great portion of C19 deaths were perpetrated by the state and city government moving infected elderly with uninfected elderly and healthcare providers. The first “hot spot” was a nursing home. Cuoma gave zero fvks that he sent thousands to their deaths like Hitler.
Records Management by the government seems to need an overhaul.
Of course, rumor has it that the NSA holds on to “everything”. But that seems to be unofficial or hey-we-would-never-do-such-a-thing.
But the whole idea that the government can request FBI records, and it takes 2 years to find the records is bogus. And if DOJ asks the state of NY to cough up some nursing home records, I just bet that the state of NY will say, “Love to — but we lost them.”
I think we need state and federal archives that really work. Get a warrant that says you can have access, push a button, get the records. Should take less than 24 hours. Every time. If it takes more than 24 hours, someone should go to jail.
States should not be allowed to include nursing home and prison COVID cases in the COVID headcount. They are and some representatives are calling them on it.
