New York Democratic congressional candidate Jackie Gordon’s military records show she was subject to two investigations during her time in the U.S. Army, resulting in two separate recommendations that she be relieved of command, one of which was acted upon in Afghanistan, according to two Department of Defense sources with direct knowledge of the investigations.
The Daily Caller obtained an unredacted Department of Defense document from a source with direct knowledge of an investigation into Gordon’s behavior as a lieutenant colonel from December 2011, as well as a redacted Department of Defense document (described as “interim findings”) that shows Gordon was again under investigation in Afghanistan and was subsequently relieved of duty.

Another affirmative action promoter who rose to a level far above her competence.
Next, get the officers who kept promoting her up to a lieutenant colonel level.
She showed her lack of talent and leadership long before her command position.

“The existing climate involving the Battalion Commander and her staff cannot be described as anything less than toxic and nonconducive to the efficient execution of the Battalion’s wartime mission,” the document reads. “Based on the above facts, I recommend that LTC Gordon be removed from the battle roster and relieved from command. I base this recommendation on the leadership deficiencies identified above, as well as the inability of LTC Gordon and… to function effectively as a command team,” one of the investigations concluded.
She was probably in command of a battalion of supply pukes.
She refused a mission into Iraq, seems to be a pathological liar, possessed "toxic" leadership, was "estranged from command", etc.
Ask anyone who has been in the military within the last 20 years. I'm willing to bet that people walked on eggshells around this loon because she was an EEO complaint waiting to happen.
I bet she was ruthless writing OPRs for people under her.
From deep in the article: “While she didn’t have great involvement with it, she was actually left behind in Kuwait, because General [Janis L.] Karpinske was moving the group up to Iraq, and she wouldn’t go. She said ‘why won’t you go’ and she said ‘because it’s dangerous up there’.”
While I can’t verify that this was true about her, I recall hearing numerous reports of soldiers, predominantly female reservists, who refused to ‘go down range’ using that reasoning. And one of our organization’s document collection team female captain made the same refusal statement. I was back in the States at the time as an Army civilian, and was the stateside collector of the documents she was to collect. Her team was one of 20 that we deployed to go into Iraq. And the ONLY one who refused to leave Kuwait.
You win the thread. I thought the same thing . She was selected for command twice, and failed miserably. There should be GOLOR and GOLOR OER’s in her file. Would certainly be interesting reading. She’s packing at least two of the army’s ‘Get outta jail free’ cards. It’s takes a special kind of stupid to use that service record and not expect to be called on it.

I bet she graduated with honors from the Department of Equal Opportunity Military Institute (DEOMI-located at Patrick AFB, FL).
The fact that the military has DEOMI, which by the way, flourished while Toejam was pres, speaks volumes of the state of the DOD.

So General Janis Karpinski relieved her. A case of the affirmative action blind leading the affirmative action blind. General Karpinski was the highest ranking officer to be relieved of a command. Sounds like these 2 went to the John Kerry Officer Candidate School
Karpinski was in command of Abu Ghraib when the abuses began there. As a result of the Army’s investigation into the prison abuse scandal, Karpinski was given a letter of reprimand, relieved of her command, and demoted to colonel. She was the most senior officer to be punished in the scandal.
