...The San Francisco Health Department claims that handing out drugs and booze to junkies with coronavirus is actually a "harm reduction practice" that has "significant individual and public health benefits". How significant are those public health benefits?
New numbers provided to the Chronicle show 1,070 bodies were examined by the San Francisco Medical Examiner’s Office from Jan. 1-Aug. 31. And 468 of them died of an overdose.
It gets worse.
That puts San Francisco on track to lose more than 700 people to drugs in 2020 — or nearly two every day. That’s a shocking rise from the 441 people who died of drug overdoses in 2019 and the 259 who died the year before that.
Of those who died of overdoses in the first eight months of this year, 28% were homeless. Seventy percent died in the heart of the city — the Tenderloin, South of Market, Nob Hill and the Inner Mission. Older Black men living alone in SRO hotels are dying at rates far higher than their portion of the city population....

Much was made here on FR a few months ago about how low the COVID rates, at least the death and hospitalization rates, were among the homeless population. We argued that that the ‘Rona cannot be as dire as presented if a population that isn’t social distancing and isn’t in the best of health isn’t really being infected.
If I didn’t know any better, killing the homeless with overdoses might be a way for the Demonrats to pump up the COVID death stats among the homeless. I’m sure some of the homeless have a trace amount of the virus in their nostrils.

Agree. When it comes to these rabid, insane communists, NOTHING, I mean nothing would surprise me one bit. They are godlessly evil to their very core.
When they first started giving out the narcan injectors I thought it wouldn’t be long until they started giving out the drugs to complete the set.

Maybe the Demonrats are looking at the benefits: fewer homeless, less defecation to clean up, fewer needles to hand out and the Covid death rate goes up! It’s Trump’s fault!!!
