Nope. One guy in all of Portlandia is temporarily upset. He will still vote for the Commie-Rats though in November. Portlandians are getting exactly the government they have been voting for over the last 50 years.
Any firearm aimed at me I would have to assume is real and my natural reaction would be to pull the trigger.
Who the hell is carrying and stops to think: "hmm, is that a real gun? I'll need a closer look...."

The key there is “people”. Democrats aren’t people. They’ll take this crap, they’ll empathize, they’ll show how virtuous they are by accepting whatever the mob dishes out, until they can’t take it anymore. Then, they’ll do what Democrats do, they’ll avoid conflict, and run away. They’ll run to a nice safe Republican area, settle in, and vote Democrat.
Residents have no obligation to distinguish paintball guns from lethal firearms, when choosing to defend their family.
I propose: the residents shoot the rioters. It’s totally right. The rioters are shooting at the residents, and the residents have no way of knowing what kind of gun is being used, and so they can shoot to defend themselves and kill the rioters.
I know this will never sail.
The police were told not to intervene by the corrupt city administration. All the more reason for the residents to defend themselves.

The problem is that while liberal/leftists are group thinkers and followers, conservatives are individualistic and think for themselves and don’t tend to be “groupies”...
Plus, most conservatives, as individuals, work for a living, for themselves and their families...
Liberal/leftists are not very concerned about holding jobs....
Hopefully none of them got that idea from the one I posted here -— using paintball guns to ID violent protesters for police capture.
Either way, meet paint balls with paint balls and cover the people who are doing the rioting. Give them a taste of their own medicine. Paintball them, but if you miss and hit their cars, cell phones, whatever -— oh well.

If someone starts firing paintballs at my house, I am going to assume they want to play, and I’m going to start firing paintballs or airsoft pellets back, whichever I can manage to find first. Probably airsoft, as I need to buy new paintballs, mine are old and would break in the gun most likely.
Portland area residents love the rioters and likely were among the people firing paint balls (at their neighbors, of course).
