If former Vice President Joe Biden backs out of participating in the upcoming presidential debates, then he's unfit to occupy the Oval Office. It's that simple.
The American people expect — and deserve — to hear from presidential candidates and learn where they stand on a multitude of important policy issues affecting our lives. We need to listen to their vision for America vis-a-vis their opponent so voters can choose their candidate wisely come Election Day.
This is precisely why the Commission on Presidential Debates was established in 1987 to ensure that debates between candidates running for president and vice president of the United States are a permanent part of the electoral process.
Months before he would emerge as the front-runner in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination, Joe Biden was one among a dense field of candidates, all vying for face time with voters at campaign stops in crucial primary states.
But as he made inroads in meetings and events with supporters, his campaign was marred by a series of awkward, condescending, and physical meetings with would-be voters in crowds and in forums in front of dozens of people and cameras.
He grabbed lapels and hands, grew combative with difficult questions, told people they’re wrong, or told them to vote for someone else, including his rival Donald Trump.
Yesterday he had another incident and it seems that he showed once again he is unfit to run for President.
Alleged Trump supporters yelled at Biden "Joe you don't have a chance" and Biden appears to answer with "I know."

He does this every time anyone asks him a real question. He gets angry and lashes out never even trying to answer their questions.
This is the reason they won't allow him to interact with the public anymore unless they've been prescreened. His true side comes out.
Who in their right mind would cast a vote before watching these debates?
If I were Trump in a debate with Biden, I would do everything I can to mess with him.
Ask him nonsensical questions, ask him questions from issues 50 years ago (segregation, abortion, gay rights), accuse him of random things, mix up times and places, etc...
For example, accuse Biden of having setting up his son on the board of an oil company in Uganda, and Biden would angrily correct him that it was Ukraine.
By the end of the debate, the goal is for Joe not to know what decade it is, and for the audience to clearly see that.

Because that would make sense too.
I think it’s safe to say that the President is being briefed on “things you don’t say to people with dementia because it gets them super confused”. Such info could be useful.

I know who I’m voting for without watching debates. But I will watch them anyway.
I’m sure many will vote for Biden and know it all ready.
Biden voters are crazy, debates will not matter, or they’ll just rely on the media to tell them Joe won the debate so they can vote for him.
Trump is hardly ever angry. He seems to like opposition. On the hand, Biden and Harris get angry. It won’t take much to watch them lose their cool.
Hey, that’s my plan :) Go back and find stuff over his 47 years of votes and it’ll be easy to say something that Biden is unsure how he voted and what his position was. And like you say, put in some random errors that also trick him up, like they say rushing through a test is what causes most incorrect answers and Biden will rush thru the question and answer something incorrectly.
Saw that on Twitter. He knows. The machine behind him refuses to acknowledge just how weak a candidate they picked this time.. worse than Hubert Humphrey in 68 or Mondale in 84. And those candidates were able to speak coherently...

Do you really think the moderators are going to allow Trump to push Biden?
He will be shut down immediately for being “mean and disrespectful”. They will have Biden’s back throughout the debates and Biden’s people know it.
“Com’n man! He said “You don’t have to dance!”
“I mean, com’n man. No where in the Constitution does it say that a guy that wants to - or, um - a woman, or well, anybody - they don’t need to do that thing - um dance, to be the guy that um, want’s to be - you know, that ... um thing, the president.”

I have been looking for that moment a long time. I have a new bag of popcorn just for that moment.
I tried watching the video. It sounds like in response to “You don’t stand a chance” Biden said “Probably not but if I do...” and then he is drowned out by the crowd and he was rushed away. Did anyone get a clearer idea of what Biden actually said?
Trump should ignore every attempt they make to do so, point out their bias...then just go after Biden with SERIOUS questions about SERIOUS issues.

Biden probably wouldn't even notice that he said Uganda, so it wouldn't work.

Chances are, if he corrected him, he would say, “no it was Ubekistan! C’mon man!”

Me too. But with extreme caution. Think back to that grade school bully who used to pick on and tease the special ed student. No one likes a bully.
President Trump must be careful and not appear to be a bully over the simpleminded Biden.
For instance, during the debate when Joe Biden starts gasping for breath again, President Trump should rush to his aid with a glass of water and a supporting arm to lean on if Biden should fall down.
My wife tells me I’m too mean when I suggest the following tactic for the debate:
Trump makes his statements on whatever the question was and asks Joe a question.
The question should be about one of Joe’s great lies. Like his high GPA or his time as a coal miner.
I have no doubt that the moderator will try to salvage it, but it will make Joe slip back into that lie. Even if he doesn’t, it will make the press report on the lie he told in the past. Win-Win
You are onto something. I think Trump is not going to debate him I think he’s going to turn this into a trial. Obama and Biden will be on trial along with Hunter.
