Bob Woodward dropped what seemed like a bomb on the national media and political world with the release of his anti-Trump book "Rage" this morning.
Woodward claimed that President Trump knew about the severity of coronavirus pandemic way before revealing this info to the press, and deliberately downplayed that severity to the American public.
And the press and Democrats went wild, with Twitter trending hashtags like "#TrumpKnew" and "#TrumpMustResign" all day long. Joe Biden even called Trump's supposed deceit "disgusting" in an appearance with Democrat operative CNN anchor Jake Tapper.
There was only one problem with the "facts" that generated this nuclear outrage: they were all LIES.
How do we know? Dr. Anthony Fauci said so....

Oh, and Biden is bleeding minority voters.
I HATE to be the skeptical one, so I will pray that it is true.
The ONE big difference is Trump is a man’s man and black and latino guys respect that.
They think he’s street and not some stuffed shirt.
But black and latino women? I’ve seen it firsthand from time in the projects.
The federal government is their baby’s daddy and their husband.
I have little hope for the women.
But black guys only went 78 percent hillary LAST TIME.
That goes unnoticed but that could have won us PA and MI and maybe even another state last time. Unsung heroes. :)
78 is still SO one sided but this time they could go Trump 30 percent or more
And then we won.
I remember last time the folks on TV talking about how Philly didn’t come in yet but it ended up not helping hillary win.
that was the blacks going only 78 percent
GOD I talked so much just now. Sorry.
My God you read that whole post? :) thanks.
I agree.
Maybe we get 10 to 12 percent of women and 35 percent of men.
That gives us our 22 percent of the vote, approximately.
We get that and it’s over...PA, MI and a whole bunch of other states are NAILED
...almost as fast as he destroyed our economy!
A big part of the issue is conflating how serious the disease was, and how serious a threat it was to those in the US before it was understood to have arrived here in significant quantities.
Ebola is a horrifically serious disease if you catch it. It is not a threat worth considering, to folks in Chicago.
I know no one that KNOWS someone that has had it.
My neighbor across the street had it about six weeks ago. He was 39 years in the military, retired as a Command Sgt. Major and went into the Air Force Reserves, then retired again as an E8, Senior Master Sergeant. I showed up on his doorstep because I hadn't seen him out and about and wanted to ask him a question. He looked terrible. About five days later he was fine. He had tested positive but had kept up his supplements. He said he made himself a hot toddy every night. Oh, his step Son is a USAF Master Sgt last I heard and one of his step Granddaughters is a USAF SP.
I am a little older than he is, I think, but I feel that I would fight it off just like that too.
Winning still.
If it was Obama, the media would be praising his "cool" handling of the emergency.
Remember how they praised Obama not reacting or downplaying events?
This was a new virus that the WHO & China downplayed. Our own medical community did not understand it well or who it was going to impact the most in those early weeks.
Nobody was 100% right about the virus from the beginning.
Trump took action earlier than any Democrat proposed. Trump even talked about it in his State of the Union speech.
But anyone trying to score points over an unknown virus is just an opportunist.
The real crime was committed by the 5 Democratic governors who disobeyed CDC guidelines and put contagious patients into nursing homes, causing nearly 40% of the death toll nationwide.
:: I agree he was bad in handling it in the beginning. ::
Sitting here in September and looking back at January, you could be right.
Arm chair Monday morning quarterbacks.
What don’t they know?
Yes, they praised Obama, but Obama used the power of the IRS to put pressure on people — including journalist. He shut up the opposition with his corruption.
After all the bending of knees to Boobamba, on the last day of office he insulted the press by calling them sycophants.
So what you are really trying to say is President Trump should have said “we are all going to die”.
Got it.
Yes, that too.
Im not complaining about Trumps response, Im commenting on this idiot blogger.
LOL. Thanks. Even though I am almost older than dirt, I am not too old to learn something new.
As an aside, I have been finding out that as I age spelling at times gets a bit more of a challenge.
Thanks again. Now all I have to do is remember it.
LOL
It’s a Latin phrase. You can’t be expected to know their plurals. And most people don’t use them anyway. Save your brain for other things.
Like; where did I leave the toilet paper? I think I had one semester of Latin about 60 years ago.
