The “congregational singing” taking place at the close of the RNC 2020 convention flies in the face of all the warnings and restrictions on public worship, especially in with ban on public singing because of the risk of spread by breath droplets. I think this genius.

It is remarkable that there was zero hip hop or rap crap (ever notice, you can’t spell crap without rap?) The music was decent, as in it wasn’t indecent. It was patriotic. It had religious overtones. Ave Maria was a home run in my book. As one that does not listen to garbage, I was left with the feeling there were many others like me out there that still enjoy a variety of good music. I’m not sure if the music was a hit with younger generations, but I trust everything was done with a purpose tonight.
