This was just insane.

On Tuesday night two people were killed in the continued violence in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
It appears it is the same shooter.
There is video of the suspect shooting one rioter in the head.
Then the same suspect is chased down the street and attacked by the mob, getting beat by skateboards
Raw Story reported:
Kyle Rittenhouse, 17, of Antioch, was charged Wednesday with first-degree intentional homicide in a shooting late Tuesday during a clash between protesters of police brutality and right-wing militia group members.
The militia members had gathered to protect a gas station from looters and vandals, and video shows police offer Rittenhouse water shortly before the shooting and thank him for being there.
It’s Kyle.

“Evidence regarding the first shot is very important here.”
Very important, yes. Much like those first George Floyd videos that lacked context, we don’t yet know what preceded the actions seen in the videos here. It’s possible the kid was acting in self defense; also possible he initiated an earlier aggression from which he was fleeing.

Would you want your kid to have done this???
Think what he’s facing ....and was it worth it?

Maybe Kyle should have stayed home and maybe he shouldn’t have. But if you can’t see the difference between Kyle coming in from out of state, and Antifa bussing people in, you’re not looking very hard.
For starters, Antifa rioters are paid to go to these locations, and by people whose agenda is to instigate destruction and violence. They are trained to do so. By all appearances, Kyle wasn’t paid to be there. But most importantly, the militia was there to defend property, Antifa was there to destroy it. If you don’t see that as a significant distinction between the two then you’re mistaken. It’s the difference between night and day.

“We conservatives find it deplorable when outside agitators are bussed in to protest.
How is little Kyle any different.”
It isn’t Kyle’s fault. The problem is the police and national guard were not there and they should have been. This is day 3. They should charge the mayor and governor with dereliction of duty. Somebody needs to be responsible after Day 1. If they started throwing mayors in jail for five years this would stop after day 1.

Seems like worst case for Rittenhouse is if he provoked the chain of events by brandishing his weapon or doing something else arguably threatening, causing the first guy to chase him and everything that followed.
The question then is whether an initial provocation can “taint” the events that happen downstream. Taken in isolation, all three shoots were clearly acts of self-defense, but what if they were the direct consequences of an illegal provocation committed by him? What then, legally speaking? Does that undermine his claims to self defense?
For instance: if you entered a movie theater threateningly with a gun, and the crowd decided to rush you, could you then claim self defense if you shot them as they charged at you? Surely not.
Obviously that’s an extreme hypothetical, and we know very little about the initial circumstances in Rittenhouse’s case, but some sort of legal argument along these lines is how maybe I could see him getting hit with more than some technical weapons violations.

He threw a Molotov cocktail. There are or were some videos on that thread that show it clearly. Antifa was there to torch the place. They were almost all white, btw.

First I’ve heard of this and been following pretty closely. Source?
I did see the vid (yesterday) of the guy who takes off his shirt to attend to the head shot guy. I also did notice the guy with the AR15 (Rittenhouse) come into the scene and then run off.
To: Izzatso
Another video clearly shows Red Shirt getting in defenders’ faces and demanding “shoot me n*****! shoot me n*****!”
#19 shows Red Shirt running full-tilt after Rittenhouse, throwing things and screaming at him. That Rittenhouse plainly is carrying a rifle (like several others) shows this guy is insane and/or bent on grave harm. R ends up somewhat cornered, clearly going to be assaulted by Red Shirt. Shooting ensues, justified (unless we find further evidence). Clearly self defense. _Maybe_ “possible he initiated an earlier aggression from which he was fleeing”, but was clearly attempting to disengage and didn’t shoot until cornered. After shooting, he immediately called 911 (?) and attempted to help, until others made clear they intended to attack him further.

For what its worth, the guy who was shot in the arm had a pistol.Noticed that, too. Here he is:
To: DownInFlames
He was there as a milita member guarding the car lot of a friend with other militia members because the car lot across the street vehicles had been set ablaze the night before. FYI...
Here's one of the 'armed' thugs who was running after him with a gun

Here's the same guy after Rittenhouse shot his arm when he wouldn't stop....clearly his weapon is visible..it's assumed he's antifa at this juncture

Nothing good happens after 10, Kyle.

In fairness, I wouldnt want unauthorized uninvited armed strangers to start patrolling my home & neighborhood. I never suggested anything of the kind. Though I would note that your "mid/upscale neighborhood" is the last place I would want to be on occasion of real trouble, except perhaps to enjoy the humor of the inevitable keystone cops routine.
Give me a call when the laffs break out!

#19 above shows things being thrown at him. Not quite sure if they’re burning; will look for better video.

Notice the salt aerosol can in his back pack. Probably for the eyes of others.

If you view actual footage taken last night on other threads you will see his first act was running across the lot when rioters were damaging his friends cars...Here's just one photo showing these two destroying a mercedes with hammeers.....there were several others also doing so as well....that is what brought him to shoot.

Notable bit in that incident: Paramedic (yes, he has gear marked “Paramedic”) approached while obviously brandishing a pistol, paused (the two looked at each other for a second), then closed distance.
Doing that to someone holding a rifle, and who just shot someone two seconds earlier, is obviously a poor life choice.

Yes, the orange back pack also was compared to others in a antifah event prior

What “brought him to shoot” was being chased by a deranged shirtless man throwing things at him shortly after screaming “shoot me!” at a group of men carrying rifles.

Interesting observation. “Simply Saline”.
His hat says “PARAMEDIC”. I won’t begrudge a paramedic being armed, nor having spray saline, but both do raise suspicions.
