Senator Chuck Schumer now says schools must open in the fall.
This is after weeks of calling for schools to close.

I ran into someone from work (we’ve been working from home since March) yesterday.
She said she elected for the online schooling option in her district for this coming school year
I said that’s a good idea because no sooner will the kids et settled into attending school and be happy and comfortable going and seeing their friends than something will happen and they will close schools again.
But no, that’s not the reason she’s keeping them home. She’s so, so afraid of the virus can’t trust her kids (both under 9) to wash their hands and not get close to their friends.
She’s not the only person around my area who feels this way.
I feel so sorry for these kids.
I’m afraid for America if she is representative of parents out there. The virus is real. The globalist exploitation of it is the hoax.
I agree. All that young, fertile, low-hanging fruit now out of the clutches of the Rats. Just think of all the daily propaganda and programming opportunities they're losing if they keep this up.

My Facebook and in real life comment has been: I would home school if I had still had school age kids. What they did in the spring was awful and it just be more of the same. I would look into K12. It’s been around for 20 years and been doing great work. If you do, join HSLA before letting the district know. A few locally are deciding because the school rolled back opening day again.
I think what it's finally coming down to is, despite the Dems' very best efforts, Americans haven't blamed Trump for the virus craziness, but more and more are blaming them. Now they're trying to shift to "We MUST open the schools! We MUST return to the normal that Donald Trump stole from us! The blessed normal that Democrats have been FIGHTING for!"

Maybe these people are realizing if they leave NY, they can more space at a lower cost and use the property tax savings for private school. A religious elementary school in Chattanooga is about the same price for 2 kids as their property taxes in NY.

I have little doubt these issues are at least part of the problem NY is facing and why the commies are doing an about face.
However, as others have noted, there are many more factors involved and all of them are starting to force these pricks to change their stance.
Still remains to be seen if this move is for their benefit or ours, and I’m betting on the former.
I agree I think it’s to placate parents and to indoctrinate the little cherubs, and their parents. Another factor is business owners/ donors need to get their employees back to work for the tax money for dem politicians to spend on vote buying.
They know that the folks who prefer to have the system raise their kids (Dem voters) will be inconvenienced more than others if schools stay shut...
