“[this person] would stay on the payroll as a runner, delivering meals, liquor, weed and cigarettes to the homeless in their hotels”
I had to read it three times and I still cannot believe what I read.

clandestine placement of homeless people in luxury hotels, such as the Intercontinental Mark Hopkins on Nob Hill.
Thanks for the info. Not that I was planning on staying in SF, but even if I lost my mind for a nano second, this cements it for me, NOT HAPPENING. Top of the Mark used to be a nice place to go for a drink.

Everything is fine. Nothing to worry about. Sleep. Sleep. Your Government has everything well in hand and only acts for your benefit with the most virtuous intentions. Sleep Sleep.

Sounds like a very expensive way to get the homeless from crapping on the streets. They’re probably crapping in the hallways now.

Leave it to the woke cockroaches now running what used to be probably the most beautiful city in America to turn their most deluxe hotels into flop houses with room service for the bums. Even when I lived there back in the 70s and 80s, and it was crazy enough then, believe me, I could not have envisioned this.

An interesting development since the Covid lockdowns in the City on the Bay has been the clandestine placement of homeless people in luxury hotels, such as the Intercontinental Mark Hopkins on Nob Hill. In 1956, the Mark Hopkins Hotel was the headquarters for the Republican Party during the RNC, which took place at the Cow Palace in nearby Daly City. Vice President Richard Nixon stayed there during the event. In 1964, presidential hopefuls Barry Goldwater and William Scranton had their headquarters there during that year's RNC.
But that was a long time ago when SF was a galaxy far, far away.

Might want to leave that job off the Career Resume next time you go job hunting. It would ring too many alarm bells for most employers.

So let me get this straight....they are letting criminals out of prison due to confinement and putting homeless in confinement in hotels.
Can you imagine what the hotel cleaning staff must be going through?
