An interesting development since the Covid lockdowns in the City on the Bay has been the clandestine placement of homeless people in luxury hotels, such as the Intercontinental Mark Hopkins on Nob Hill.
As it turns out, the government is using unlikely public employees who otherwise would have been furloughed to serve as vice couriers for them.
One such city staffer, for example, was a curator with the San Francisco city museums before the shut down, said an informed city source who requested anonymity.
Being the museums were closed, [this person] would stay on the payroll as a runner, delivering meals, liquor, weed and cigarettes to the homeless in their hotels, he said.

Leave it to the woke cockroaches now running what used to be probably the most beautiful city in America to turn their most deluxe hotels into flop houses with room service for the bums. Even when I lived there back in the 70s and 80s, and it was crazy enough then, believe me, I could not have envisioned this.
In 1956, the Mark Hopkins Hotel was the headquarters for the Republican Party during the RNC, which took place at the Cow Palace in nearby Daly City. Vice President Richard Nixon stayed there during the event. In 1964, presidential hopefuls Barry Goldwater and William Scranton had their headquarters there during that year's RNC.
But that was a long time ago when SF was a galaxy far, far away.
Might want to leave that job off the Career Resume next time you go job hunting. It would ring too many alarm bells for most employers.
So let me get this straight....they are letting criminals out of prison due to confinement and putting homeless in confinement in hotels.
Can you imagine what the hotel cleaning staff must be going through?
