Rush was talking about this this morning on his show. People tuned in only to see the pitcher's mound covered with "BLM" - signs for BLM everywhere and the players kneeling during the National Anthem.
Maybe people had just had enough of this, too bad sports have become so politicized.
After everyone begging on their knees I will nave nothing to do with the NBA or any of the league or personal sponsors of the players.
I will, already have, been making sponsor lists and sending emails to inform them of my decision.
NHL is becoming an irritant, too, with their End Racism pandering and their allowing some players to kneel.
Just play the game. Leave the social wokeness to other venues. Most people do not tune in any sport for the wokeness.
the quality of play in the NBA is atrocious... the shooting and defense is very poor
to hurt the NBA further, boycott or cut all their enablers: Nike, ESPN/Disney, TNT, etc.
Now, I'm not excusing the players or the leagues for what they're doing, and I'm doing my part to avoid sports (including my beloved Packers) as well. But people need to understand who the real villians are.
Awesome! What awaits the NFL, I trust.
I didn’t watch although the team I’ve always loved made the tournament. They can go screw themselves now. Until we get a huge apology and a walkback I’ll never watch again. They might as well move to China as far as I’m concerned.
Thank Christ.
I hope they all fail.
And you all know why.
They picked the losing commumist side.
All collaborators can go foad as well.
I would like to note that although the USA has only 13.5% black population that the vast majority of pro ball players are black.
Therefore, no whites should spend one damn dime to support any of the teams, or their sponsors, until whites are properly represented on those teams.
As in the business world, talent, or educations and experience, should have no bearing on or be and excuse for disproportionate representation of the races in professional athletics.
Jee, that’s a shame
Haven’t watched pro sports in a decade now and now have more reason to not to. I will, however, make an effort to ID and boycott their sponsors.
People are sick of this Marxist push.
My workplace is becoming a hostile work environment with all the BLM crap.
I always thought the whole point of sports was to ESCAPE the insanity of society and the demands of reality.
When they remove the escapism, they are surprised no one wants it any more?
I wonder about NASCAR also.
No boycotting - just do a total quit. Take your eyeballs elsewhere.
Professional sports was exciting, in VERY large part, because it was part of America. It WAS part of who we are (like cooking burgers, hot dogs, and corn on the grill in the summer). When it stopped being that, it totally lost its appeal to me. I love my country, as did those who gave the ultimate sacrifice and died for it. I have absolutely no interest in spending any time whatsoever watching or financially supporting a bunch of people who have been blessed with the ability and opportunity to play a game for a living - but who don’t appreciate this - and don’t appreciate the efforts and sacrifices of so many before them (of all races and creeds) who made their lives possible for them.
White privileged owners coaching their highly paid slaves.
You say you want a revolution?
Sports was where Americans use to forget about their troubles and politics and cheered for their team of choice, but sadly that has now changed and the people will not be paying for a seat at the stadium or watch the game on TV, etc.
They didn’t get what they’d hoped for; there are more of us than there are of them.
I guess they never heard of the Ten Commandments.
