People speculating on Slow Joke Biden getting dumped for Cankles, who is barely able to stumble around on her own and could easily require a pinch-hitter herself (Biden - Hilary - whoever) reminds me of the death rattles of the Soviet Union in decline, when they degenerated from one geriatric stiff to another (Brezhnev - Andropov - Chernenko, with the last two barely lasting a year or two each).

Why would Michelle be to damned obvious? It would be well known that she would be in a false leadership role only. Well known that her husband would effectively be running his third term. And who would object? Look at all the governors who have had their wives step in when they could not serve as governor anymore.
I’m trying to think of the president who was ncapacitated and his wife effectively ran the country for many months. I’d have to look that up and see who it was.
But make a long story short, I believe the Democrats would be very happy with Barack Obama serving out a third term with his wife as de facto president.
