Hey, Scientologists are positively sane compared to most Democrats. What’s the big deal? – Creepy Uncle Quid Pro Farty China Joe Biden, the Democrat Party’s Unfrozen Caveman Presumptive Nominee, is planning to announce his chosen replacemen…er,….’running mate’ in the next few days. His list of potential candidates probably got a little shorter on Saturday, although it’s hard to really understand why.
Karen Bass, a communist Democrat member of congress from California, had been on that list, with some considering her to be one of the leaders in the competition. But on Saturday, video was released of the Com/Dem making glowing remarks about the cult of Scientology in a speech that she delivered way back in 2010. She also found herself on the defensive about remarks she made praising communist dictator Fidel Castro upon his blessed death in 2016.

VDO.AI Rep. Karen Bass, D-Caif., a contender for presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden’s running mate, is scrambling to explain past comments praising Fidel Castro and the Church of Scientology.
Bass, who is widely reported to be on Biden’s shortlist, responded Saturday to recently-emerged video that showed her speaking at a Church of Scientology opening in 2010. The organization has been accused of acting like a cult. “The Church of Scientology I know has made a difference, because your creed is a universal creed and one that speaks to all people everywhere,” Bass said in the video obtained by the Daily Caller.
“The words are exciting of your founder, L. Ron Hubbard, in The Creed of the Church of Scientology: that all people of whatever race, color or creed, are created with equal rights,” she said.
On Saturday, Bass released a statement noting that she worships at a Baptist church, and says that at the event she “found an area of agreement in their beliefs — where all people, of whatever race, color, or creed are created with equal rights, which is what my remarks were about.”
“Since then, published first-hand accounts in books, interviews and documentaries have exposed this group. Everyone is now aware of the allegations against Scientology,” she said. “Back in 2010, I attended the event knowing I was going to address a group of people with beliefs very different than my own, and spoke briefly about things I think most of us agree with, and on those things — respect for different views, equality, and fighting oppression — my views have not changed.”

Bass traveled to Cuba in 1973 with an organization called the Venceremos Brigade, a joint venture between the regime and left-wing U.S. groups that organized trips for Americans to build homes in the country. During that trip she went to see Castro speak.
In 2016, when Castro died, she referred to him as “commandante en jefe” (commander in chief), and said his passing was a “great loss to the people of Cuba.” Those remarks have been criticized by Democrats in Florida in particular.
“Praise like the one that was given by Bass at the time of Castro’s death is inconsistent with my family’s experience with what the regime did — and continues to do — to people on the island, which is to suppress human rights, keep people under a totalitarian thumb and stifle economic growth,” Miami state Rep. Javier Fernandez told Politico in June.

Meanwhile, in Lori Lightfoot’s utopia of Chicago… – Speaking of communist Democrats, things are going just great by communist Democrat standards in Chicago, where Lori Lightfoot’s consistent hamstringing of the Chicago PD led to a 139% increase in murders in July as compared to just a year ago.

Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s (D) Chicago witnessed a 139 percent increase in murder during July 2020 when compared to July 2019.
ABC7 reported there were 105 murders in July 2020, up from “the 44 reported in July 2019.”
Moreover, there were 406 “shooting incidents” in Chicago during the month of July 2020, an increase of 75 percent “from the 232 last July,” the Chicago Sun-Times reported.
Over a longer span of time, murders were up 51 percent from January 1, 2020, through July 31, 2020, compared to murders for the same period of time in 2019, according to the Sun-Times.
Lightfoot blamed Chicago mayhem and bloodshed on gun friendly states during a July 26, 2020, appearance on CNN’s State of the Union.

The Democrats are completely panicked at the prospect of Joe Biden debating Donald Trump. – And really, who can blame them? After all, Biden has a hard time putting together complete sentences and doesn’t seem to know where he is much of the time.
Thus, the emerging Democrat scheme is to concoct a rationale by which Biden will refuse to debate the President, and we have seen op/eds written along these lines in recent weeks by various Democrat toadies like Paul Krugman. Yesterday, former Obama press secretary Joe Lockhart got into the act.

Meanwhile Biden backers, including some conservatives, applauded the University of Notre Dame and the University of Michigan for cancelling their scheduled debates over COVID-19 concerns.
Former White House Press Secretary Joe Lockhart joined several Democratic Party strategists in bluntly advising Biden, “whatever you do, don’t debate Trump.” Speaking on CNN Saturday, Lockhart said Trump shouldn’t be given another platform which will enable him to “repeat lies,” which he said occurred in the 2016 debates against Hillary Clinton.
“We saw in the debates in 2016 Hillary Clinton showed a mastery of the issues, every point she made was more honest and bested Trump,” Lockhart told CNN. “But Trump came out of the debates doing better I think because he just kept repeating the same old lies: ‘we’re going to build a wall and Mexico is going to pay for it,’ ‘we’re going to keep all those Mexican rapists out of the country,’ and ‘we’re going to make great trade deals’ — none of these things have come to pass.”
“Giving him that national forum to continue to spout — get him to 21,000 or 22,000 lies — I think just isn’t worth it for the Democrats or for Biden,” Lockhart continued.

Reminds me of McCain’s VP search. McCain knew he couldn’t win on his own, so he picked a running mate to help carry him. Successful candidates pick VP’s that are credible support to their agenda.
As Rush said last week: Biden has painted himself into a corner by declaring he’s going to choose a “woman of color” as his running mate.
None of them are working out, it seems: Kamala Harris, Susan Rice, Karen Bass.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to conclude that should dementia have a lead going into the election he is not going to jeopardize it by advertising it during a debate with Trump. His handlers will make excuses to avoid the debates.
I’ve been saying this for months: there will be no debates. Why would the Dems allow it?
Biden has already been fitted with earpiece that matches his ear. They will cheat like they did with Hillary.
Biden must be afraid of President Trump. His strategy is to run out the clock, until election.
Channel 2 WBBM in Chicago Plays the George Floyd tape everyday as part of the shooting stories. Last week when 5 Chicago Cops were rushed to area hospitals after being attacked by a career criminal, Channel 2 played the George Floyd tape as though it was the Cops fault.
The Chicago media will defend Mayor Lighthead no matter how bad the crime numbers get.
This is getting interesting. The Democrats intended to run a white male this time, so as to pick up a bit more of the bubba vote, and so they wound up with Joe. From there, the idea, actually requirement for them, is to have a hard-core minority as a running mate.
Of course the problem now is Joe...and I cannot imagine Trump not explaining to the country that you’re literally NOT voting for Joe, you’re either voting for his running mate, or some yet to be named person who will replace Joe.
The Dems were IDIOTS to hang everything on Joe, when they still had a few other (dingbat) white guys left in their party...and now they’re stuck with him.
Regarding not having debates: Trump should do one of his patented Twitter triple back-flip flea-flicker plays. He should tweet, “Seeing the condition Slow Joe is in, we should call off any debates, prior to the election, so I don’t have a singular advantage, since he clearly will lose altogether.”
Biden and handlers will immediately respond, “Oh, yeah, lyin’ pony faced dog handler?, don’t worry, I’ll be there”.
“This campaign to cancel the debates being jointly mounted by the Democrats and their media toadies will only intensify in the weeks to come.“
This is a win/win for President Trump:
If there is a debate, it is a win because he can mop the floor with Joe Biden.
If there is no debate, it is a win because incumbents don’t need debates - it is the challenger who needs debates.
Challengers need to be vetted, incumbents are already vetted.
Challengers need exposure, incumbents already have it.
Challengers need the “pomp and circumstance“ of debates, conventions, massive audiences, Greek columns and historic national monuments as a backdrop - incumbents have all that every single day.
President Trump should push for a debate to show he’s not afraid, but if there is no debate - that’s even better.
