The Hardest Thing About This Lockdown May Be Admitting to Ourselves That It Accomplished Absolutely Nothing

This lockdown was senseless in every conceivable way. It was totally unnecessary, wouldn't have helped had it been, and completely unworkable regardless. Time to end it now and make sure nothing like this ever happens again.

The first remedy of such punishment must be at the ballot box. If the voters don’t have the will to throw them out of office, they certainly don’t have the will to convict them of a crime.

I've been asking this question and haven't seen an answer: Is there any evidence that grocery store employees have contracted the corona virus in larger numbers than the general population, or have experienced a larger number of serious cases and deaths than the general population?
Nothing shows the unscientific nature of the lockdowns more than the fact that grocery stores were universally exempt, even though employees of those stores would be exposed to many more strangers than the employees of many "non-essential" businesses that were forced to close.
If there has not been a surge of corona virus cases in grocery store employees, that suggests that the lockdowns were totally unnecessary.

I think the lockdown was certainly overkill. But ... Masks help. Social distancing helps. Not living in NYC really helps. What do masks do? Provide for a burgeoning scam industry. BUT WAIT! THERES MORE!!

The so-called “lock down” played into many peoples’ paranoia. They lost their illusion of being “safe” because of the dishonest government people (and the dishonest/liar media) who pushed the “we are all going to die” theme. We were sold or forced to take a pig-in-a-poke. The death rate from this communist virus is less than for an average influenza. People are having a hard time accepting that they are weak, misinformed and prone to panic,,,and gullible. Many still hold on to their view that we need to have the government lead us to safety. That isn’t safety...it is the equivalent of a boxcar going to the showers.

If there had been, you would have already seen the lawsuits from the ambulance chasers.

I will buy a 2 week lockdown until we knew more about the disease. I cant fault the president for that even though I think it was the wrong decision. However where we are now is beyond ridiculous. The first wave is over hospitals are empty and the economy is in the tank with more damage occurring daily. It is long past time to end this

People at cdc are government “workers”. Did you expect anything less? What was it President Reagan said about when the government “worker” says “I am from the government and I’m here to help you”?

Well,it just might cause the President to be voted out of office....which would be a massive accomplishment...an HISTORIC accomplishment...to Rat Party Headquarters.

“Yep. The flu deaths are still up, meaning, if all those idiotic measures did nothing to curb the flu, then it didnt curb any other virus either.”
Just saw on Fox News, that the medical field is bracing for the next wave of Covid-19.....Fox on the week-end has gotten horrible, to me it’s more scare tactics.

You would think that doctors and nurses would know that.
I blame it on the universities. Poor training. They turn out health care workers who are not knowledgable enough to be really trustworthy. If you ever see a doctor with a scalpel in his hand you should run. As fast a you can.

No, I don't. I won't deny that it was real. And I will admit that if you caught it, it could be bad for you. But so are the many varieties of the flu.Several years ago I caught one of them. I was very sick, not ill, for a while. It took a long time to recover. I would recover and then come back down again. Each time was less severe than the one before. I finally recovered. I do know someone who died from getting a flu shot and heard of several more.

putting the "LGBQ" and "transgender" agenda on the back burner and forcing hte cancellation of events such as "gay pride" parades and the Dore Alley and Folsom street fairs.
The Alphabet people in St Pete cancelled their festivities. But the local car cruises are coming back. We had one of our regular meets in Hernando County last week.

As I said Im not sure the lockdown did any of that. There is little doubt that outside a few large metropolitan areas, lesser restrictions would still have avoided overloading our HCS. Less travel, more people working from home, masks/gloves when appropriate, more vigilant sanitary precautions, common sense and generally acting responsibly. Of course governments don't trust people to be responsible.

Didn’t the lockdown epidemic match the time lines for previous corona virus epidemics? That would 8ndicate no slowing of the spread, and therefore no significant impact.

A friend of the family got this flu and, boy, it was something else. This guy is in his 40's and healthy, but he said it was like nothing he's ever had before. Frankly, makes me wonder if it's not a Chinese designer flu.
Anyway, stay safe. Maybe this will all pass soon.
